Isaiah 64:6
All of us have become like one who is unclean, and all our righteous acts are like filthy rags; we all shrivel up like a leaf, and like the wind our sins sweep us away.

Interesting note, “filthy rags” is literally translated “used menstrual cloths”. Really brings home the image of how God views our works, doesn’t it?

Already gave a whole bunch. Review the thread. Christ likes kindness. You catch more flies with honey. God is Love. Tiresome.

Dammit. Yes. I screwed it up.

All your distroted views and matras are belong to us!

There. That's better. Thanks for the assist.

I blame it on the hot buttered rum. I haven't had enough of it yet.

Yes, but several people started asking me questions because I said the Mormons I have known have been very good, kind, responsible people. That seemed to incense people.

I think cruel people are worse than Mormons. Sue me.

If any Mormons would like to check out the Catholic Church, you will find lots of reasonable people like me. Catholicism has the fullest and most complete understanding of Christianity. We’d love to speak to you. With civility. It is a beautiful. rich, and satisfying life- and the only Church which traces its origins back to Christ Himself. Any Catholic Church has an program for people with questions about the faith. You are invited!

MM: Post 488 seems rather enlightened to me, especially the last paragraph. What are your thoughts?

Kid dont get me started on the Catholic Church and their brand of “civility”

My ancestors were French Huguenots..and were murderedd by the Catholic church...

as in “not spoken to nicely...”

Now FOCUS...

This thread is about mormonism...

You scream that Chrisitians are evangalizing to the mormons...

and then several times you have just gone right ahead and proletyzed about the Catholic Church..

I think you are doing it all wrong...

you wont attract the mormons that way...

"They do not believe in the deity of Christ. Do you think that could be a problem?"

It might be if that statement were actually true.

I see this a bit like the Home Ec teacher trying to teach quantum physics.

From my perspective, I see a lot of disgruntled people on this board with big chips on their shoulders and too much time on their hands. Very, very sad indeed.

Thank you.

A good book is “Speaking the Truth in Love to Mormons”. The study of the methods I heard was on a TV show called “Heart of the Matter”. The host Shawn McCraney, is an ex-mormon now protestant pastor. He is kinda “hardline” on his show, more genteel in person and in his book “I was a Born Again Mormon”. But he does good research/info on LDS history and doctrine.

The methods are covered in depth in this episode:

http://hotm.tv/shows/20061107.htm

I do what I do, completely assured that I am doing what God wants me to do and how he wants me to do it. I always pray before I start posting on these threads, and often while I am posting, that God will give me the words that they (or lurkers) need to hear.
