Thank you for posting, GSP! I love “then and now” pics, especially those from WWII.
Amazing site, thanks so much for the link.
I was there a few years ago, and it is an awesome experience.
Absolutely incredible! I’ve done some living & traveling in europe and have seen bullet holes and signs of destruction from some of the buildings but its absolutely fantastic to see so many before and afters. More amazing is to see that not much has changed in alot of the pics.
Isn’t it amazing that many of the cities we and our allies wrecked during WWII have rebounded and put many of our major cities to shame?
Wow! That is an amazing group of pictures! A lot of those buildings we North Americans would have just knocked down and built new ones but they restored them and for the most part they look like they are well taken care of. I’m glad I happened on your post and got to see this.
Facinating. Thanks.
Awesome web page! Lots a great pics!
Those fortifications the Germans created on the beach must have been very well built. They are still holding up very well after all the years near the ocean.
thought you might be interested, pong
Interesting.
Most of the captured Germans don’t appear to be very hostile, do they? I guess they were the lucky ones.
Fantastic collection...
