You don't promote the competition, IMHO.

Beck is #3 and gaining.

Freepers.

The apostrophe is possessive; plural uses no apostrophe.

I don’t think the top 10 guys usually refer to each other very much, other than Beck and O’Reilly.

I hadn’t picked up on that. Beck has had Limbaugh on his show. Limbaugh speaks well of Beck when I’ve heard him talk of him. But who knows!

Well, Bill 'O Reilly must think Glenn's okay.
They're doing a book tour or something like that.

I have heard both Limbaugh and Hannity speak well of Beck on their shows. Maybe his books really aren't so good that they warrant mention on web sites that rarely push books.

Don’t forget Beck has a contract with FOX news. I believe they are kind of expected to get along.

This is something I would not worry about too mucn.

Radio stations do not like you mentioning other people who are not on your radio station

Rush personally asked Glenn to write about him for last year's Time 100 Most Influential (or something like that) piece, he's hardly shunning Glenn. What you see has nothing whatever to do with *aligning with O'Reilly*, nor are they being "cautious". As for this:

Is Beck really a conservative or is he just doing what he is doing to make a buck and a name.

Rush was forever tagged with only trying to make a buck, this has become a tired insult. And yes, Glenn is really a conservative, one with libertarian leanings.

You don't stick your neck out (and your family's) as far as he has just for ratings. He believes!

You may have it right....possibly.

But it's going to be fun and interesting to watch the "shakeup" at FOX if Lou Dobbs comes on the scene.

I have noticed the same thing. One would (falsely) assume that Conservatives would bond together to form a ‘team’. After all, a team is stronger than a host of individual players. However, a team’s weakness is the weakest link.

Consider, if Hannity, Limbaugh, Beck and Coulter were all a team; the team would take a hit when Rush’s drug problem came to light, they would have taken another hit when Hannity got caught with a story and accompanying video about one demonstration, with footage from the 9/12 footage mixed in - to make the crowds look larger than they really were.

Why would Beck want to dillute his image? So far, Beck has been 100% right, and while the Left is seeking to destroy him; Beck has withstood their attacks.

He is what he is. Seems to have broken some good stories and is a pain in the ass to the administration. Take him for what he’s worth for the time being, but don’t put all your hopes into any one or other talk show host. Some have staying power (Limbaugh) some are a flash in the pan (Morton Downey). And Limbaugh’s influence, such as it was, wasn’t enough to stop several democrat elections.

Don’t put too much stock in any man. Just focus on developing your own mind and your own abilities. They will be needed.

My $.02: Beck is a time bomb that will eventually blow up in conservatives' faces. Limbaugh and Levin are smart enough to know that.

Hannity just doesn't want any competition for his books.

Beck does a lot of good, but he doesn’t think all that deeply when you get right down to it. Conspiracy theories are deep thought in his world, not why someone would start a conspiracy theory, and before long someone will bait Beck with just the right conspiracy theory and Beck will make a fool of himself. Who wants to be onboard with him when that happens?

JMHO

Regards

I had an interesting discussion with my wife the other night. We were both curiouis as to why radio talk show people such as Limbaugh, Levin, Hannity, do not promote or talk about Glenn Beck.

Actually they do...but not a lot.

You don't promote your competition. MSNBC and CNN are both liberal, but you won't hear them favorably mentioning each other.

Don't count on Walmart recommending Kmart.

Except for Hannity and Liven who seem to have a great friendship, I don't see or hear other talk show pundits talk much about the others. Its the way its always been even before Beck came along. Except for one host, “Savage”, they all seem to respect the others when their names do come up on their shows. Savage of course is different. he will tear into Rush, Beck, Hannity, and the rest like a rabid pit bull because he's so ego driven.

If they are slow to embrace Beck, however its not because of his very recent collaboration with Oreily, or because they don't think he is a real conservative, or think he's too conservative. It probably is more because he goes rogue, and they are not sure just how close of a tie they want in case beck crosses a line someplace.

He doesn't follow the typical program pattern for a conservative talk show host. Red phone that is a Hot-line to the White House in case they want to talk to him???

A pattern set By Limbaugh long ago has been broken, and not all are comfortable with it quite yet. Like him or not, though, he is reaching out to a large market not yet captured by Rush, Levin, Hannity and the rest, and that is the Women and the young adults. I strongly feel we should let Beck do what Beck does best, and Rush, Levin, Hannity, Boortz, Savage, Medved, ngraham, and all the rest do what they do best - and stop tearing each other down. Just what the left wants our host to do. Divide and Concur.

Beck-Rush has a good professional relationship I Think
Beck-Levin. Levin has an disagreement with Beck

Beck is a pro-war Libertarian and he supports Ron Paul and Sarah Palin. He is shun by some Libertarians because of his pro-war stance

I’m very much a pro-war Libertarian as well and I like both Ron Paul and Sarah Palin. I believe we could reach a compromise. I believe in withdrawing all troops everywhere, except Afghanistan. We could use the savings on the only country that matter
