Perhaps if they looked for evidence of David and Solomon with the exuberance that they are looking for that evasive missing link to prove evolution, they would find something.

and I killed Ahaziyahu, son of Joram, king of the House of David.”

Unless he is talking about David, the wholesale jeweler, I’d say that pretty strong evidence for David’s existence.
About the only thing missing is a street adress.....

Gotta love how they ignore evidence left behind by, oh.. the Assyrians and Babylonians?

The sceptics would not shut up even if old Solomon himself was dug up in full regalia. 150 years of archeology has already proven a lot of Biblical history, but the sceptics will never be satisfied.

Until 15 years ago, Professor Eric Cline notes in a new book, there was no extra-biblical documentary mention of even the House of David as ruling in Judea. The fragmentary Tel Dan Stele, found reused as building material at a site in what is now northern Israel in 1993-94, provided the first evidence outside the First Book of Kings.
That's nuts. The Mesha stele, found around 150 years ago, in the former Moab, refers to the House of David.

Thanks BGHater.
