It's starting in 3 minutes..."V"...the strange remake of "V"...the series that is so evocative of Obama's "hope and change".
Just starting a discussion thread as this serial opens.
The Visitors offered “universal health care” to the masses...
It won’t be on Hulu
probably’’maybe on
abc.go.com
I just hope it doesn’t drag out for several seasons like “Lost”.
I noticed they moved the story line much faster than the original. I will watch as long as they don’t pull that Star Child stunt. I stopped watching the original because of that.
This seems to be a much more serious version. Will see how it fairs.
Well HUMMMMM.
HOW DOES HOLLYWOOD LIKE THE CONTROL FROM THE MOTHERSHIP.
My husband and I liked that the address for the meeting was 4400.
I think this is going after Serenity, 4400, & Lost fans.
By the way, I have been educating folks on the eerie similarity of Obama and fascism since he won the election. All his actions of the last 9 months have borne out that assessment.
And the recurring phrase “The dawn of a new day”. That’s what 0’s icon is supposed to symbolize. The rising sun over a new day for America.
And it seems that the cast of BSG is guest staring on Dollhouse (except for the 2 hottie Cylons, who are in Maxim this month... I guess they were busy! lol)

Next to Saran Wrap, YouTube, and Spandex/Lycra on cute, athletic women, it's the greatest invention of mankind.
You can watch TV shows over the Internet. I rarely get to watch TV, I'm too cheap to buy a DVR, and too busy to build one myself, so I just watch "my TV shows" (Castle, Fringe, Leverage) on Hulu.

What goes around, comes around.
Obama is getting plastered by the truth on all fronts, the democratic party has fallen in a well and can’t get out, even Hollywood has turned on him.
I haven’t seen the pilot episode just yet though I recorded it, I remember the original series quite well, it was a BIG event in its day.
I watched it and was pleasantly surprised!!!
Fun, ain't it!
Could you add me to your ping list?
I thought the first episode was very well done. I am usually very critical of popular science fiction, but I have to say that this looks very promising. It is different enough from the original series so that this remake IS worthwhile.
Some points that make this worth watching:
- The ‘V’ have been living among us for years. This adds a creepy effect of who can be trusted. The ‘V’ don’t wear funny uniforms or talk in reverb, so you don’t know who is who.
- The show, so far, isn’t afraid to portray religion in a good light. A very solid point was made by a priest about misplaced worship.
- Lots of ties to recent issues make the show relevant. While I didn’t think the Obama=’V’ undertones were all that strong, they were definitely there. And the journalist has a very strong resemblance to George Stephanopolis. However, the show is still more science fiction than political science.
- Special effects are better than the original.
- The acting is waaay better than the original. I particularily prefer the creepy low-emotion pleasantness and near-perfect appearance of the ‘V’ in this remake to the cheesy acting, uniforms, sun glasses and reverbed voices in the original.
- This version seems that it will have more action than the original.
Done deal!
Would you please add me to your ping list?
Done!
HULU and ABC.com both state the 1st episode will be on both Saturday.
Go to either site and search for V. The online schedule will show up, but I can’t recall just exactly when/where.
