The tribes kept track of the seasons by giving distinctive names to each recurring full Moon. ... Since the lunar month is only 29 days long on the average, the full Moon dates shift from year to year.The first statement is manifestly untrue. There is no easy way to track the seasons with the moon, and the second statement glosses the fact that the shift is in one direction, so the twelve moon names, if applied in order, would quickly become out of season.

Yep. Two full moons scheduled for December. :)
I’m going to walk the dogs now, so if you hear anything funny it’s just we three howling. Lots of ‘moon shadow’ out there tonight; it’s really bright right now. ;)
