Most people don't make $52,000 in a year -- but Friday afternoon one Russian billionaire dropped that much cash on LUNCH!!!!!
TMZ has just obtained the bill handed to Chelsea Football Club owner Roman Abramovich earlier today after lunch at Nello's in New York -- a bill which totaled a ridiculous $47,221.09.
The check had an automatic gratuity of 20% -- $7,328 -- but we're told the party threw down an extra $5,000, bringing the tip to 26%.
We're told there were 10 people at the table, who feasted on white truffles, filet mignon and a whole lotta uber-pricey wine.
This blows Jay-Z out of the water -- who just a few days ago, dropped $1,700 on lunch at the same place.

And for that, you have truffle farmers, chefs, cleaning staff, and a highly tipped waiter, etc, etc. Glad he could do it.
That’s nothing! I did twice that at Starbucks ordering two large coffees.
Funny. That happened to me just the other day
Small world.
This guy has ex-Spetznaz staffed full-time on his yacht. $52K is walking-around money.
Taking money out of the mafia economy into truffle farmers and waiters is great stimulus.
LOL, I can tell someone who never actually goes to Starbucks.
They call them gigantes or some such BS.
I wonder what the wines were. Probably 50% of the bill.
Probably a lot of ‘40s French and ‘90s Napa.
I always say Large coffee instead of “grande” coffee whenever I go to Starbucks (which is rare) because I like Pete’s coffee.
Piffle. There were ten people in the lunch bunch.
Obamy blew a quarter mil on dinner for two in NY.
Well, then I forgot about some pretty pricey Ossetra Caviar... that can get the check fat quick, too.
Almost 1 bottle of wine per guest for lunch.
3 Romanee Conti La Tache at $5k each
2 Chateau Petrus @ $5k each
2 Christal Rose Maginums @ $5K each
(here are the retail price listings for those, generally restaurants will charge twice this price http://www.wine-searcher.com/find/romanee+conti+la+tache
)
It also looks like they got 5 glasses of a Tawney port, 1940 at a little over $50/glass.
Lot of cheese fans at the table.
Do you mean Peet's Coffee?
Except he’s probably a marxist crook.
No waiter is worth 12 grand for one meal.
The Russian Billionaire (places pinky on lower lip)
Is laughing at the absurd, delusion of the value of the $USD! In other words, the Russian Billionaire, is mocking the value of our collective up scale insolvent whore house's.
Worth of anything is subjective to what someone is willing to pay. If someone was willing to pay him a $12k tip, then, by definition, that is what is service was worth.
So... I had tonight one of those Burger King $1 double burgers....Great...
