6. The Chocolate Museum (Musee du Chocolat); St. Stephen, New Brunswick, Canada

This museum pays tribute to the Ganong Bros who were candy makers in the area and who have the distinction of introducing the world to the iconic heart-shaped chocolate box, many of which, not surprisingly, are on display here.

7. Choco-Story Chocolate Museum; Prague, Czech Republic

Chocolate may be a feast for the palate, but this museum is truly a feast for the eyes. With collections of stunning antique chocolate wrappers and demonstrations of the chocolate making process, it’s hard to know what to look at first.

8. Candy Americana Museum, Wilbur Chocolate; Lititz,

Pennsylvania

Started when the wife of the company president began collecting chocolate memorabilia at flea markets and antique shows, this now over-30-year old museum still admits visitors for free.

9. Chocolate Museum; Jeju-do Island, South Korea

While the chocolate workshop, “Bean to Bar” showroom, and art gallery are all impressive, perhaps this museum’s biggest draw is their working San Francisco-style trolley car.

10. Nestle Chocolate Museum; Mexico City, Mexico

Known more for its modern design and the speed with which it was built (by most estimates 75 days from start to finish), this futuristic building is an exhibit in itself.

No Switzerland???

Speaking of Chocolate, the Lindt & Spruengli factory used to have a sale of their seconds and overstocks every other week. Mmmmmmmmmmm!!!

My all-time fav was something called Mayan, which was a milk chocolate with roasted cacao nibs. The cinnamon Christmas chocolate was quite interesting too.

Candy Americana Museum, Wilbur Chocolate; Lititz, Pennsylvania!!!!!

HUH!!!!! What were they thinking?????
If you're only going to list one USA company, (and a Pennsylvania Company at that) then there's only one to list! And that one would be HERSHEY!

Me too! I just love chocolate, probably too much. But why not take the time to enjoy something so simple right? Thank you for posting this, it's made my day far more tastier..

Sadly; I note there are NO Lindt stores in Wisconsin. They are on every street corner around here...couldn’t they spare one for Madison, the Dells or Milwaukee?

We had one in Milwaukee up until a few years ago at Mayfair Mall. However, I can get my Lindt Fix at Walgreen’s, and we also have:

...right up the road from my garden center. Awesome German and european chocolates to be had, there. Unfortunately, they had a fire and their store isn’t open right now, but they’re still making sausage.

BTW - how DOES one tell when the smokehouse is on fire? LOL!

On a serious note, as a neighboring business, we sent them a condolence card and I dropped off a Poinsettia for them this season. I would be devestated to find my business burned to the ground! And it couldn’t have happened to them at a worse time, business-wise. :(
