Good luck. I think that it may be necessary. :>)
* In exchange for Favre, my shrewd Falcons received Green Bay's pick (#19) in the first round of the 1992 NFL draft. We chose running back Tony Smith, Favre's former teammate at Southern Mississippi. Smith was with the Falcons for 3 years, his only three years in the league.
Those fashionable brown bags weren't just plain old sacks, I'll have you know. :) They were personalized, the favorite said, The Aints.. Oh, sure, a few said, Have we lost yet? but they were rare. LOL The lowest point in the paper bag year, we helped make Joe Montana's star begin to shine. We were up 35 to 7 at the half and still managed to lose. LOL
Of those bad ole days, this tale is perhaps my favorite. It is repeated as a true story. Once, in the 70s-early 80s, when our beloved Archie was the quarterback, things in the organization were so tumultous, everyone and everything so transitory that in one game, right before the snap, Archie looked down the line of scrimmage and actually saw a wide receiver that he didnt recognize. The guy introduced himself in the huddle. LOL
