Pig Ping!
Them town folks is goin’ ta be happier than a hog in slop.
Some might think the above graphic is a little much. But compared to the 1500 pages of the Senate "health bill" it is not much at all. In fact, putting this thread aside I'm showing what Obama wants to do to the American people.
Is there going to be BBQ?
Thats all I need to know LoL
How about a few thousand pounds of wild pork? All kinds of recipes for sure! Everything but the OINK! startin friday night..Wanted to go last year, but I was on crutches. Attending this weekend hopefully....
Ben Wheeler TX is the Feral Hog Capital of Texas, if not the world....Im only 28 or so miles away, we have our share...
Judging from the write up its worth the trip just to eat at the Moore Store Restaurant!
Used to go to a Wild Hog Jamboree out in the Big Cypress behind Monroe Station back in the in mid winter back in the 70’s. Large plate of hog/beans and swamp cabbage cole slaw was $4.
Went several years in a row when I was a kid. Learned to avoid the grease pole contest until late in the afternoon after the first hundred people or so had worn the Crisco off of most of the pole.
Noted!
I am glad that people are keeping Americana alive.
There will be demonstrations on Sugarcuring ( mm-m-m! )and pork rinds....
I usually shampoo and skin. skin is awesome when tanned out....I might be into homemade rinds...\\
Definately into the sugar cured pork.......
Hows the weather looking for this years fest?
