When I see “BCI” I don’t even see it as “before the common era.” I see it as Before the Christian Era. The guys who write it write only the initials. I can fill in the words appropriately.

Yeah, it’s shocking that Israelis don’t use Roman dating systems.
We could use the real year, as in today is 2nd of Cheshvan, 5770, but it confuses the goy.
