I'm watching a collection of old news footage from the JFK assassination on the History Channel right now, and was wondering if any Freepers have any theories about what really happened.
I figure with the great wealth of knowledge here on Free Republic, there's got to be some pretty good theories waiting to be shared.
I remember it was Friday afternoon, a couple of days after my dad bought a brand spanking new Chevy Corvair. It happened while I was riding the bus home from school. As soon as I walked in the house my dear mom was white as a ghost when she told me what happened.
Knew about it but did not stop it. Possible, but not probable.
As a young man my grandfathers home was a congregation point for many Texas families. He was not a political man, but one of the men who visited was the son of a local doctor who delivered my father. He was the assistant attorney general of Texas for Many years. He loathed LBJ and I heard all the stories about things he had done. Stolen elections and a lot more. That was back in the days when all Texas pols were Democrats, before the Left took over the party.
He simply did not kill Kennedy. But yes, Lyndon did hate all the Kennedy’s.
My bet is on the Cuban Mafia. They had a score with John and Robert.
I’ll throw in my .02 cent wacky wafer, Onassis wanted Jackie so bad he masterminded the Kennedy assassination.
Whenever I see pictures of Oswald with that SE grin, a burning question comes to mind. Ever see Lee Harvey Oswald and Sen Schmucky Shumer together at the same time?
Mafia, or more precisely, the Florida chapter thereof - under pretense of his administration going after the mob, Kennedy was going to break the Florida branch, confiscate their Cuban casinos, and transfer them to the Chicago family in payoff for their stealing Illinois for him the ‘60 election - mobster whom Castro was holding in prison after his takeover was visited several times by an American during his incarceration, guy by the name of Jack Ruby.....
The Mafia had Kennedy killed to cover up the assassination of C.S. Lewis...
What relly happened is that left wing nut, Lee Harvey Oswald,acting alone, shot Kenendy from the window of the DALLAS school book warehouse. Anything else is fiction.
Why aren’t there more FReepers giving you guys a hard time about this subject “making FR look bad” or being a “waste of time” the same way they do on Certifigate threads?

JFK wanted out of Vietnam. LBJ was deep into Bell helicopter and other corporations that would benefit from the war. LBJ had JFK whacked, possibly RFK too although the mafia wanted him out of the way also.
LBJ had alreafdy done his part by steering the three finalists for the DoD Light Observation Helicoter competition to the Bell YHO-4, Fairchild-Hiller YOH-5A, and Hughes OH-6 - all Texan firms.
The Question becomes who benefited from the final selection of the the Hughes OH-6?
And Consider this, nobody knows for certain where Howard Hughes was that particular day

Of course there was more to it than Oswald, a crappy shot with a crappy gun. He even referred to himself as a patsy. Who was president during the investigation and the Warren Commission? yeah.... that’s who! LOL!
Problem is no other residue from other bullets was found in the limo or the two victims.
I think Jackie ordered the hit to get back for JFK’s affair with Marilyn Monroe.
