“I recall an SNL sketch were Norm’s Dole joins an MTV reality show and looks like he will freak out listening to the gay young adults talk about their sex lives while he is in his bed.”

I vaguely recall something along those lines; Bob Dole on “The Real World”.

Do you remember when they did the Republican primary debate back in ‘88, when Aykroyd’s Dole tore into Dana Carvey’s Bush? Said things like, “George Bush is a liar. I know it. You know it. The American people know it.” How he’s just a poor Kansas farm boy, and wasn’t born with a silver spoon in his mouth like Bush. Then he went on and on about what he lacked growing up: electric garage-door openers, running water, etc. Hilarious.

I did not remember it until now. I also loved the Dukakis sketches - the debate one and the one where he knows he is losing and has a Playboy style night show with Willie Horton and a drunk Ted Kennedy hitting on his wife.
