Are UFO's real? Are we alone in this vast universe? If there is other life out there in the universe have they visited our planet?
“I think it was Cernan I listened to face to face. I was very underwhelmed with his handling of UFO questions.”
Yeah, it’s hard to get to know these guys and what they are really like: their character, their dispositions, what they think.
Most only see snap shots, little vignettes revealed in interviews or when people ask them questions. Their books reveal more, but people mask a lot and embellish when they write. Growing up with them gives you a completely different perspective. Hell, I used to get yelled at by Jim McDivitt on a regular basis.
I think the only ones who really know them are each other. It’s a tight group and will never be fully penetrated. They’ll take much of what they know to the grave.
That matches my impressions of them from a distance.
I felt Cernan—if that’s who it was—was just answering with canned party line stuff though he was making it sound like it was his personal convictions. A little hard to tell.
But it didn’t deviate a bit from the party line.
Of course, he was on a lecture tour . . . of benefit to the . . . charades already in place, imho.
“But it didnt deviate a bit from the party line.”
True, but NASA is not going to make a declarative statement until they know it for a fact.
I mean, look how they got burned about that Mar’s meteorite. They came out and said, “Looks like there was once life on Mars.” Then, after further study it was revealed that they got it wrong.
Egg in the face a second time? Not likely.
We probably have quite different perspectives on NASA.
I’m 97% convinced that NASA is a huge expensive and dangerous disinformation organization.
You had a relative working there.
I had one working in area 51—though more often, adjacent to it, actually.
I think the astronauts were/are heroic and abused wholesale.
Whether NASA has done anything of lasting good for humanity remains to be seen, imho.
They certainly seem to have played the . . . capture, keep and manipulate the focus of the public regarding space etc.
game . . . tolerably well.
IIRC, it was One of my closer friends who once saw an egg shaped UFO about 16 feet or so lengthwise hovering as it was escorted into a highly secured hanger on an Air Base in Alaska or some other Western State . . . with NASA markings on it.
NASA, as all large bureaucratic organizations has to have layers of the onion . . . and dealing with classified stuff of various types and levels . . . also a lot of compartmentalization.
Even their public pronouncements and actions depict far too often that NASA’s right hand doesn’t have a clue about what it’s left hand is doing.
And, in the final analysis . . . while being sold to the American public as a civilian enterprise dedicated to keeping the taxpaying citizens wholesale and honestly informed about our space related efforts and expenditures . . . NASA largely appears to have wholesale done the opposite . . . while successfully convincing a lot of folks totally devoid of critical thinking skills, that they’ve done admirably with that mandate.
You, no doubt know more than I about this . . . but I’d bet that the astronaut corps was itself rife with cliques of one type or another built around one sensibility and perspective or another and/or around one personality type or another.
Personally, I don’t trust even the “whistle blowing” astronauts to NOT be working for the darker forces of the globalist government. As far as I can tell everyone who says much of anything fits one part of the puzzle or another according to the globalist script.
ALL of them are mere tools in manipulating public perceptions and public . . . conditioning . . .
just my two cents from a distance.
I think a lot of that sort of ‘snafu’
is
either
1. factions within the globalist ruling oligarchy giving mixed signals about what’s shortly coming down the pike
and/or
2. the globalist oligarchy changing its mind in midstream for one urgent reason or another;
and/or
3. another staged pile of mixed information, mixed perspective to see how the public reacts with plenty of options to claim at the end of the day that THIS set of puzzle pieces out of the confused mess
is REALLY what was meant all along.
NASA folks will take whatever egg on their faces their ruling oligarchy puppet masters order them to take.
as usual.
EVERYONE is expendable to the oligarchy.
ALL are serfs and slaves to the oligarchy.
It wasn't a UFO, then, Quix. It was an experimental aircraft/spacecraft. Speculation regarding provenance is one thing, but it was not unidentified.
True . . .
However . . .
1. Such craft are often seen DOING UFO-y things and classified as such.
2. My relative (believably to me) insisted that the critters taught us how to build our own fleets of such craft.
BTW,
there’s nothing in that short sighting to indicate that it was
either
—an experimental craft
or
—one of many in however many operational fleets of such.
My understanding is that on a lot of those sorts of craft,
experimental
was a stage left in the dust a long time ago.
NASA in my day was a very homogeneous organization. I'm under the impression that it still is, but I could be wrong. Any large organization eventually fractures and disintegrates under its own weight. Competing factions and the like. Hell, just look at our government and the American people.
Among the boys, there is more unity than one might expect. Although competing egos were at issue, it had a lot more to do with assignments and how all that played out.
For instance, Walt Cunningham was a civilian astronaut and I don't think he ever quite fit in with the military pilots. He only flew on Apollo VII and when he wrote his book, “All-American Boys,” he ground a lot of axes and took a lot of people to task. I couldn't even get half way through it, it was so bad.
Buzz also gets a lot of grief because he thinks he has more right stuff than all the others. I mean, Jesus, he sells his autographed underwear at over $500.00 a pop.
LOL
Are ‘skid marks’ on the shorts extra?
Sounds like someone is still waiting to be brought back down to earth.
LOL! Yeah, he’s still up there somewheres.
Expounding on my post to you about factions.
The first time I recall such a thing ever coming up was after the Challenger accident. Public opinion was divided between manned flight and unmanned flight. There’s always a competition for resources, and there’s no doubt that probes can do many things, especially nowadays, but I think the public face of NASA will always be her astronauts. To flip a phrase, “No Buck Rogers, no bucks!” That’s just my opinion. With such a public disinterest in the program anymore, I could well prove to be wrong.
Among the astronauts, there was always some ribbing between Marine pilots, Airforce pilots, and of course, Naval aviators, but they were pretty much beaten into a cohesive unit by the time they were through with their training and on flight status.
Now, many are mission specalists, and there may be some faction between them and the pilots and co-pilots. Wouldn’t surprise me. In my time, Jack Schmitt was the first mission specialist, and he didn’t fly until Apollo 17.
I know when Joe Allen (a mission specialist) came along he plugged right in and didn’t miss a beat. He wouldn’t fly until the Shuttle.
One last thing about factions.
I think the press forged them into a cohesive unit, too.
I’ll never forget when Ted Freeman was killed ejecting too close to the ground over Ellington Airforce Base in his T-38. A goose had smashed into his canopy. The press was on Faith Freeman’s doorstep (his wife) asking about how she felt about her husband dying before NASA even had a chance to notify her. The astronauts were furious.
After that, everybody had everybody’s back. BIG TIME.
Good for them.
People can be so thoughtless and merciless . . . even primary school children can be very mean and thoughtless.
Yeah, but your talking about a race of people not even capable of traveling to the their closest planet neighbor, in the past 200,000 years of their existence..
“Yeah, but your talking about a race of people not even capable of traveling to the their closest planet neighbor, in the past 200,000 years of their existence.”
LOL! Yeah, you’re right. As a species we’re pretty slow.
I should have posted a pic of Al Beans painting of Shepards golf shot. Dont know how to, so, here is a link.

WOULD DO IT
IF
the site allows hot linking.
Of course, your whole post would then need to be html coded.
I try and always check by using the PREVIEW button first—to see.
If they don’t, then I just delete it and leave it as a link as you posted.
