Good for Gypsy!

Miss Cat had been losing weight....she just stopped eating the prescription wet food. So I put her back on low-carb Fancy Feasts (the ones that don’t list “wheat gluten” on the label) and she’s gained some weight back. I told the vet tech who gives her fluids this....so far I haven’t been fussed at by the vet. Miss Cat will still eat the prescription dry food.

You are doing the right thing! Both the Eastern-medicine and Western-medicine vets told me I had to keep Gypsy's weight up, but the western-medicine vet had me so limited in what I could feed Gypsy vs. what she would actually eat, that I couldn't keep the weight on her. Doesn't do any good to adhere to a diet that your furball won't eat. That's why Gypsy ending up eating braunsweiger, vienna sausages and cat food for a month.

Have you seen the Whiskas Purrfectly Fish line? Gypsy really likes the Tuna flavor, and it doesn't seem to have any wheat gluten in it. LSA

LOL! Of course not, only for some animals.

Gypsy, on the other hand, is suppose to eat all the carbs I can get down her. Since she won't eat dog food of any kind and has texture issues with plain grains, I've ending up making a kibble of rice, barley, oats, veggies, spices and whole wheat flour that I bake in the oven. It provides the crunch she likes and the nutrients she needs. LSA

Heh...high protein diet is good for the diabetes but bad for the kidneys. High carb is bad for the diatebes but good for the kidneys.

So what do you do? :)

Wonder how Jr. is going to wash out this week.

The race is tomorrow...NASCAR, that is. The Nationwide Series raced today and I saw maybe 30 minutes of it.

I don’t think I’m going to get the wash and wax done this weekend.

Planting beds cleaned, leaves raked out of the beds and from under the trees - all suitably mulched now.

I got the tomato bed cleaned out and three out of five beds filled to the top of the chicken wire with leaves. I still ended up filling 20 bags and I haven’t even done the little strip in front of the gate. Haven’t done anything to the back yard yet.
