She can enter a foot-race as a female, then run like a male and win the race. The faster males always have better times than the fastest females.
Technically, (s)he is more like a one-person group.

I feel sorry for this woman, but the controversy is because “hermaphrodite†is not the same as “femaleâ€. If there are going to be separate races for men and women, it does not make sense for someone who is biologically neither gender — or who is effectively both genders — to run in either the man or woman race.

Fair competition. She runs in women’s events. Women can’t compete fairly against men. It’s not her fault. It’s just the way things are.
The controversy is she has elevated testosterone and many of the physical characteristics of a man and she is competing in a class exclusively set aside for girls. The whole reason we have female classes and male classes is that the top girls don’t run as fast as the top boys - the top girls don’t jump as far as the top boys - the top girls don’t throw as far or as hard .. etc etc etc
