Good evening.
Go Cheney! The former Vice-President strikes back at the Obama Justice Dept.'s attack on CIA investigation techniques. Cheney, unlike the Holder's Justice, values our safety & a strong national defense.
Thousands of California homes and families are in the path of devastating fires. And so we pray for their safety and that of the firefighters.
Did the Chicken Chili tonight. It was yummy. Thanks.
The do have a nice stadium right downtown, though.
I finally realized what you were talking about when I went to the Beanwalker earlier today. Sorry about the loss, but I feel victories ahead. Get some rest girl.
wow, that is nice for minpr league. ours isn’t anywhere near that size
Over the last 10 plus years I have predicted on FR many things that have come to past. Sometimes I've been accurate to the day (second Gulf war), sometimes accurate to the month (GM's bankruptcy), and sometimes accurate to the year (0bama's election).
But, I'm having trouble determining when the conversation goes from heated to hot. And when I mean hot, I mean HOT. As in, CWII. There is an ill wind blowing, but I can't get my hands around it. From the cabinet picks of tax cheaters and radicals, to nationalizing banks and the insurance industries, to the umpteenth czar appointment, to the take over of 1/6th of the economy regarding 0bama care. The totality of it all makes my prediction machine go bonkers.
I hope everyone, including the democRATs/socialists/communists understand, that there is a tipping point. Once we reach that point, the abyss will have no bottom.
End rant.

Although they don't get much air time, the games are heavily attended by downtown workers who stop by to watch a game after 5PM, and they do a lot of group events.
What you can't see is that sitting in the stands the city skyline is right behind center field, and up close and personal.
It's a beautiful stadium.
Go read The Fourth Turning.
My theory is that things are going to be very, very different in a few years. It’s 50-50 whether for good or bad.
Holy cow.(as Harry Carey would say) Did they pay for that themselves, or did the city kick in?
Indianapolis has made an effort to locate everything within the mile square of downtown. You can go to Lucas Oil Stadium (Colts), the Fieldhouse(Pacers basketball) or the Indians stadium within that mile square, whcih also includes the state capitol building, city government buildings, restaurants, hotels, and the Convention Center.
It's why we get a lot of conventions. Attendees don't need a car to get around. I think it's why we got the Super Bowl.
We have one, Hudson Valley Renegades. Maybe next season i’ll check out a game.
What is the "Fourth Turning?" Since you recommend it, I will put it on my reading list.

Sounds nice for the convenience, but do you have a traffic problem if there are more than 1 event scheduled at the same time?

There are 4 stages, and the last stage is "the fourth turning" in which the nation goes through a tremendous crisis and comes out of it forever changed.
The last "fourth turning" was the Depression-WWII period. We are due for another.
There is a web site at www.fourthturning.com.
Fascinating book, and one which I recommend.
Next time I’ll pretend that you did, and I’m sure it will taste even better.
Also, schedulers for the teams pay attention to other events going on, so we seldom have a flood of people all at one time.
Silly YOU!
I was up late last night after I got home from the Election Returns thingy. Had a conference call at 11:15 pm to go over the final details,, then put the Facebook page up around midnight and sent invitations to about 200 on my friends list. Got caught in a couple of FB conversations with Night Owls,, and ended up curling up on the couch around 2,, and setting the alarm for 5 am, as we were taking the web page live at 6 am.
Picked up around 260 FB 'Friends' today. So I'm feeling good about it.I wish there was a place for discussion on the site, but if we did that, then someone would have to sit there all day and monitor for trash talk. Who's got the time?
