The communists really aren't "the enemy" - Satan is the enemy. He is using whatever means possible to undermine Christianity and destroy humans. Homosexuality, environmentalism & evolution (earth worship & materialism), and collectivism are but a few of his weapons.
Thanks for pointing that out. In the heat of "battle" I sometimes lose sight of just who and what we're fighting:
Ephesians 6:12
For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
The obvious question is can we win this war against d'evil on our own; without calling upon Almighty God to intercede on our behalf? The nation as a whole has moved so far away from Him and His timeless principles I'm not so sure He will continue to favor us with His incomparable blessings.
