I read here the other day that some teachers in different states say that they were told not to tell parents in the school district when a kid was diagnosed. Have they done that there?

We have not started up our school year yet. Here in the NE we usually start the day after Labor Day, but this year will begin Sept 2nd.

Near the end of last school term we were told to get two weeks of classwork together just in case the school needed to be shut down.

I teach in Virginia. We have been asked to make sure our web pages are active and updated and to be ready to assign up to two weeks of work

However, nothing was said about keeping it a secret if a student has had Swine Flu

I had it three weeks ago. i was miserable, but no sicker than with any other flu
