"saveliberty" is Hospitalized (Update from saveliberty at #1568)

Hi All,

I just received an e-mail from "saveliberty" advising me she has been hospitalized. The cause as she wrote was:

"I have a significant, but benign tumor near my ear that is pushing against a nerve (which hemorrhaged). It sounds bad but I have excellent care."

It certainly does sound serious to me, even though saveliberty said she was being well cared for. She did want me to let her FRiends here know of her condition. When I get further info, I will post it.

In the mean time, if you could add saveliberty to your prayers, I know she would be comforted by that.

saveliberty is often the Threadmistress, and I am but a poster. So, if you all could perhaps place saveliberty's situation in the proper locations, I would be very grateful. [Or Moderators, if you are reading this.]

LOL. I take all the (good) dates I can get..

spoke again with Mary about 11 while I was out in the woods with pups.. Win is sleeping a lot , I offered she is no doubt under heavy pain killing meds.. when awake she speaks a little but is nauseous and headache strong. I told her to pass on the FR greetings to Win. While we were talking the doc came in & we ended the conversation, if there are no complications Win will move from ICU to step up this evening

Thank you for the ping, DollyCali. We were in Cincinnati over Christmas, flew back late yesterday. So glad to hear saveliberty’s surgery was successful. A friend of mine who had an acoustical neuroma removed over 15 years ago also lost her hearing in that ear but has led a very active life ever since. It was a relatively rare procedure back then. You did a marvelous job of organizing and starting the surgery part of this thread—the verses you chose are lovely. Please let me add my thanks for it.

WIN UPDATE

Hi all.. I have been gone most of afternoon but found out that save is now out of ICU & in her own room. Still pain but is talking a bit & on her way to recovery.. Did NOT talk to her parents yet tonight but got Email from her friend Parris...

Great news, Dolly! Thank you. I know save’s parents are very happy the surgery is over. Hope they can stay with her while she recovers—nothing like having Mom close by when you aren’t feeling well. We’ll be waiting for updates.

I'm so glad to hear that Win is out of the ICU and equally glad that they got all of the tumor!

Prayers shifting to the healing and rehab part of her recovery. With her positive outlook and attitude, I know Win will be and A+ patient!

Thanx for the update, Dolly. I have been out most of the day, too, and went to see Tony Snow's Alma Mater, Davidson College, rally from a deficit to beat the Univ. of Mass. in basketball tonight. It was a nice ending to a nice day of good news about saveliberty.

Just checked my e-mail and this is the latest from saveliberty’s friend, Parris:

“...spoke with Bob and Mary a little while ago, and they told me that all is going well. Win is sleeping a lot and is unable to eat due to nausea. No word yet on how long she will be in the hospital.”

I suspect Dolly didn't post it because she is no doubt sound asleep like I should be. [And will be in minutes.]

Will definitely be monitoring more closely!! Really do miss my Snowflake pals!!

Fox, I’ve been trying to cut back on those Daily Kos postings......maybe with your help!

Probably be quite a while before Save is monitoring the site, but do want to be sure she knows Prayers from California have been flying her way!! Will add Rush to her prayer list too, and remembering Tony and his family this holiday season, so best get busy!!
