"saveliberty" is Hospitalized (Update from saveliberty at #1568)

Hi All,

I just received an e-mail from "saveliberty" advising me she has been hospitalized. The cause as she wrote was:

"I have a significant, but benign tumor near my ear that is pushing against a nerve (which hemorrhaged). It sounds bad but I have excellent care."

It certainly does sound serious to me, even though saveliberty said she was being well cared for. She did want me to let her FRiends here know of her condition. When I get further info, I will post it.

In the mean time, if you could add saveliberty to your prayers, I know she would be comforted by that.

saveliberty is often the Threadmistress, and I am but a poster. So, if you all could perhaps place saveliberty's situation in the proper locations, I would be very grateful. [Or Moderators, if you are reading this.]

A couple of more e-mails from saveliberty’s circle of friends indicate she is in ICU and is talking. A bit fuzzy, but hey who wouldn't be after all of that. Apparently, she has lost the hearing in her right ear, however, they did remove the entire tumor as reported earlier.

Hearing with one ear is not all bad. Our youngest daughter is deaf in one ear and she worked that seeming liability into an asset. She only “heard” what she wanted to hear!

Seems like most of the information has been disseminated so I am heading off to get some sleep.

Thanks, Foxy. We thought she might lose the hearing in that ear, but it’s good to know that she is awake and talking!

Phew! The hard part for the docs is over...now comes the hard part for the patient - recovery & rehab. Eek! SL will ace it though, no probs.

I'm just so grateful they were able to get that thing out finally. I bet her parents are just so very very relieved tonight.

Congratulations, SaveLiberty! Ya did it!

And many thanks to God for helping get her across the line of that surgery marathon in one healthy piece, albeit a 'slightly fuzzy' one!

Then again, as I recall, she was always kinda fuzzy to begin with, wasn't she! ;-)

As I have mentioned to Fox, my work has blocked websites including FR which is why you haven’t heard from me. Found a back way in and just by luck found this thread! Have been praying for save, and am thrilled to hear this news! Hadn’t realized how ill she was! Hopefully the “backdoor” will hold up so I can at least monitor even if I can’t post. Please know that the prayers will continue and I love and miss you all! When anyone can communicate with save, please list me with those thinking of and praying for her!! Will try to check Freepmail from home. Take care! PTD

As do we all. I certainly know that this is the case with Mr. MC, who, for example, often cannot seem to hear any sentences beginning with, "Could you please ---" Oh, well.

Talked with parents and they slept well. Wont get to go to see her until 10

she had a bad headache last night but that was one of the things they knew would be there. Some communication & got to see her so that is of course helpful for/to parents

I am calling them about 10:30.. She will be in the ICU unit for at least 24 hours (starting with last night )..
