[history]
The kitty that falls asleep on your pillow purring every night -- is she worth just the $30 you paid for her at the shelter? Or your loyal dog, who you walk with every day -- what, $150? That's the value that showed up on your credit card -- but is their real value about more than the pricetag? In a court of law, that might not be the case.

I've a Border Collie that has owned me for 13+ years now.....
She is deaf, and somewhat senile now.....
But you couldn't give me $10k for her.....
I love her, and love every day that I have her here with me.

LOL - he makes me laugh every day. I've been on R&R and the first thing I'm going to do tomorrow when I get back to my base is scoop that Samir up and give him such a hug.
Since I started feeding him Iams that I get online, he's gotten very sleek and shiny and admires himself in glass windows now. He also marches into my office at 5:00 p.m. on the dot every day and loudly tells me that it's time for him to be fed.
He is such a character.

Re cost to maintain pets -—
$3K here and counting re liver disease, etc. — tests like MRI, spinal tap, X-rays, you name it —
Ongoing expensive prescription food and pills she must take the balance of her life. Then there’s the usual grooming and shots and license, et al.
And here I thought getting a dog from the local shelter would be a good thing to do, and inexpensive! Yet I am more devoted to her since finding out she has this congenital illness — something weird must be wrong with me — spend more on dog than on myself.

He’s a lucky boy. :) He reminds me a bit of one of my dogs. Chunga knows when it is 9:00 in the morning and 6:00 at night. It’s rather weird, but he seems to be able to tell time. He’s a “talker” too.

I had a huskie/shepard...that many mistook for a Terv.
Fact is...I had never heard of a Terv....until people asked me about "Buddy"...
She was a good dog..!!
I am going to be looking for another dog soon....
Border Collie, German Shepard, Lab, Aussie, or a Terv.....are my preferences.
