i have a mac laptop. love it! can't run '.wmv' files though.
i used to work at an advertising agency. all the business end people used PC's. all the art people used MAC's. made sending emails that contained attachments a lot of fun.
seriously, if he's doing art stuff. go to a model with a lot of memory. but definitely get a Mac.

Yes, you can. Google Flip4Mac. They have a free download that will allow WMVs to run on your Mac.
In addition, Quicktime X on Snow Leopard might run WMVs. I don't know for sure yet, but given its expanded codec support, it's possible.

Yes you can. Check out "Flip4MacWMV" at
http://www.telestream.net/telestream-products/desktop-products.htm
P.S. While you're there check out "ScreenFlow" -- a near-indispensable nonlinear video editing tool...
P.P.S. I "do" graphics creation and animation. I have both PC & Mac laptops. The Macbook Pro is the only way to go...

Flip4mac should allow you to play .wmv files.

You can download a Mac version of Windows Media Player. That is what I did and now there are no problems running wmv files.

Will a Mac be able to connect and work properly by router to a PC without trouble on either end?
