Of COURSE! How could I forget Patches?
Now that is one cute horse! I like the pic of him in the driver’s seat! Mine are considerably taller, at about 16 hands each. Horses are the best therapy there is for those who are drawn to them. My 2 are will me “til death parts us”.
The one scripture I’ve found about horses:
Job 39:19-20 “Hast thou given the horse strength? Hast thou clothed his neck in thunder? Canst thou make him afraid of a grasshopper?”
These strong and noble animals are my favorite of God’s creatures. They are so strong, yet the instincts that are always there, can make them afraid of something small and harmless.
And people say that horses aren’t intelligent.
I’d rather have Patches than what we have in the WH right now. He’d do a better job. So would my cat for that matter. So would the cheese under my toenails.
Tiny, cute-overload horse is quite a project for the vet. Here’s hoping he survives and eventually has a long life in comfort after all his surgeries.
Was that a colt running around the show in the video?
My wife's parents ended up losing about 1 in 7 mares or babies during breeding, my wife learned to stop getting attached to them and see it as a business because they would lose them so often.
If anyone wants an adorable little pet running around their pasture may I suggest miniature donkeys instead. Just as cute but far more intelligent, long lived, far fewer genetic quirks and they really become attached and are loyal to their owners.
Oh my! Isn’t that a precious little thing.
Wishing I had a fenced yard...
Toenail cheese is probably a Democrat.
Agreed, and yes.
Ack! You're right. I knew there was a reason to clean my toenails every day.
Adorable. And if he’s healthy and happy living with this form of dwarfism, there’s no reason not to try to breed a line that all express this trait. It appears that he “mows” lawns, and I’m all for alternatives to noisy, gas-guzzling, fume-spewing lawn mowers (and yes, I know about the manual push mowers, but you still have to push them, and they aren’t adorable).
Ah, I see from a couple of the later pictures at the Telegraph site that his condition has required major orthopedic surgery and is about to reqire major dental surgery. Too bad, I guess I can’t look forward to a dwarf-horse lawn mower.
He didn't make it into work today, said he was "Feeling a little hoarse." * rim shot *
The mini-donkey is adorable!
My neighbor used to raise miniature horses. Cute lil buggars, but I’ll second WRT foaling issues. The first loss in his tiny herd was a throwback colt. But a couple years later he lost both his favorite breeder (read: sluttiest, LOL) and her colt. Took the heart right out of him. He sold the whole bunch, and took down his fencing, besides. I think he meant to deter his going soft and taking on another sort of livestock pet. He only had them to help knock down the grass.
lol
That's about my Mother-In-Law's height. There is nothing wrong with her and she's about typical for an 80 something Italian grandmother.
Regards,
GtG
