"A full sized F1 race simulator for sale...offered at no reserve (original price $160,000):

https://bringatrailer.com/listing/2018-full-size-formula-1-racing-simulator/"...

They're lying. In the video at bringatrailer.com, they are lying. They describe it as "full-motion," but it only has two degrees of freedom. Full-motion has six degrees of freedom.

And they're four degrees short.

This is a true full motion simulator.

See the diff?

It's also $6 million.

To be fair, their literature calls it a "motion" simulator, which is an odd turn of phrase because how do you simulate motion? Either it moves or it doesn't. But if the clown in the video had stopped there, he at least would have been technically correct/truthful, as far as that goes. It moves, but only about two axes, not six.

6DOF is full motion. 2DOF is just motion. He's lying.

And calling it an "F1 simulator" beggars the definition because even a competitive go-cart team would have a better trainer than that.

Sure I agree with you - it’s no 777 simulator or your example...

It is interesting, Formula 1 related and worthy of a ping.

“And calling it an “F1 simulator” beggars the definition because even a competitive go-cart team would have a better trainer than that.”

I guess that’s why it’s offered at no reserve.
