watched the movie Ferrari waiting for Indy to dry,
and THAT, is two hours of my life i’ll never get back...
it was terrible, little more than a smutfest
from Michael Mann no less, so it was very, very well done, but it just sucked, almost literally...
dont watch smut- you’ll poke yer eye out

I watched F vs F and thought it was lame. That goofy “7,000 rpm” stuff.....
The dork that played Shelby could not come close to the real man. Would take a Sam Shepard or Sam Elliot for that.
They probably did catch the POS Ford executive’s behavior well.
May or may not ever see Ferrari, but the cars were my first exposure to motor racing and have nver lost the magic after 60+ years.

Ferrari has lotta cgi and forced drama on the track, but the cars... oh hell yeah!
the movie does have good parts, the cars being one, the history and ruthlessness, but the real story only accounts for ~45mins of run time

Was totally into the GT40 when it came out, built a plastic model with the Indy car V-8 and gorgeous exhaust plumbing.
The following issues with aero problems and all I remember, and the air dam that solved it all.
years later, found out about front end lifting with a 427 Corvette at 135mph.
Ford v Ferrari is infinitely better than Ferrari. It sucked. All it was about was his affair. A soap opera, not a racing movie, at all.
In the immortal words of Ferruccio Lamborghini –

I think you will enjoy it- it’s really kinda more about his temperamental mechanic and test,driver than him, so the majority of the story doesn’t focus 5oo much on Damon’s character, though it does lay out the brilliance and determi action the man had to succeed and win races.
A other supris8ng movie to me was “The Joker”- didn’t think I’d like it with deniro in it, but thankfully his part was small, and the. Fella that played the joker did a really good job portraying the insanity/violence of the joker. I put off seeing it for a long time, but eventually broke down and saw it- good movie in my opinion
I meant to add that the f v f movie delved into the dirty dealings behind the scenes, and probably was pretty accurate knowing how companies have all kinds of Infighting, backstabbing etc.
The movie would have gotten another * from me though if it had chosen someone else for Shelby, though I admit begrudgingly that he did do an OK job showing loya.ty to the mechanic while also having to navigate the betrayal of the execs.
Modern movies suck. There are still a few indies worth watching.
