that Fred downshifted and applied full brake pressure during the accident, well high voltages can cause:

Extreme pain, respiratory arrest, severe muscular contractions. Individuals cannot let go!

The electrical injury patients treated at the Division of Trauma and Critical Care at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, Tenn., are mostly severe, high-voltage cases, meaning people who are unconscious and requiring intensive care unit-level treatment (Which Fred received)

Chronic pain is also a very common symptom and a complex problem for survivors of electrical contact. Immediately after the incident, intravenous narcotics (the sedation drug given to Fred?) may be administered in frequent, small doses.

Or because of Jules Bianchi's accident and Traumatic brain injury (TBI) did the medical group become cautious and follow procedures for a head injury where it may be necessary to keep the patient sedated with medications?

My 1st thought was that the Drivers and Fans are very fortunate that there are not more people hurt or worse. Both Drivers and Fans have limited protection.

Then I remembered that the liability laws of Europe are nothing like the USA.

So in fact this is a great example of lack of regulation, laws, law suits, etc. and people tend to figure out a way to survive and prosper.
