With more than $300 million in production and marketing spending on the line for the opening of "G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra" on Friday, Paramount has a message for critics: Go see the movie with everyone else.
A spokesperson for the studio confirmed that there would be no screenings for reviewers at print and broadcast media outlets, meaning if they want to see the film, they will have to go Friday along with regular moviegoers.

Not really. The last critically acclaimed movie I watched was, “The Reader”. Filled with graphic sex, guilt, and sympathy for Nazi gaurds. Now that was a real turd of a movie. On the other hand, critics tend to hate the action adventure type movies because in general the critics themselves are sissy-lib journalist types.

Or because often times they aren’t good movies. Still entertaining sometimes, but rarely with anything but set pieces and poses from the actors.
On the other hand movies like The Dark Knight and The Matrix are both good movies with action and have good reviews from critics.

Why even think about movies in the first place then, arent they all liberal claptrap? Yeah, pretty much. Last movie I saw in the theaters was Bee Movie with my psycho ex-girlfriend. It was def. not worth the $20 (the movie NOR the girlfriend!)

The Cthulu are coming for me? Yes, and when they do, then we will have become as the Great Old Ones; free and wild and beyond good and evil, with laws and morals thrown aside and all men shouting and killing and revelling in joy. Then the liberated Old Ones would teach us new ways to shout and kill and revel and enjoy themselves, and all the earth would flame with a holocaust of ecstasy and freedom.
You have been warned.

Wow... that sounds fun. Will there be beer, buffalo wings, and plenty of ammo too?
Sounds like a machine gun shoot I went to a few years ago. Tons of fun, good food, good friends, and afterwards, we went to Sonny’s, at pulled pork and drank beer (this one served).

I’ve had one too many pieces of stemware thrown at my head for my liking. I’m a pretty passive guy. Just talking to an old girl friend from college brought about furious fits of rage. Couldn’t handle that; I don’t care how good the sex was.

Sorry to hear that. We go just for entertainment and popcorn, so any political or controversial stuff about movies or the producers/actors, doesn’t really bother us. I don’t look at the money I spend as supporting Hollywood or someone’s agenda, as it helps the local economy.

The obama-based globalists behind this Globo Joe movie could never, ever compare with a great American like Charlton Heston.

Grand Slam? I don’t think he was ever in any episode and barely mentioned in the comics. Sgt. Slaughter was not a favorite of mine.

Why not make a movie called UNIT? I would want it based on the 70’s Dr. Who UNIT types like Lethbridge Stewart and Sgt. Benton. However, I do like the new UNIT a lot, no character to identify with.
