A little background music, please. :)
A few years ago, my Bro (St.Louie1) designed and created the Opening for Amy's Place. This took time and was created with love. Thank you again, Bro, I still love the Opening.
Over a year ago, working together, MamaBear and Billie created our Welcome to our Home Graphic.
In this graphic you will see JKPhoto (PapaBear), an unnamed kitten, me, Bad Penny, Billie Blue, MamaBear and our resident wolf (St.Louie1).
This is a very special graphic not only because it was created with love and the message is perfect but it also depicts what we feel this thread is about.
I read WayzataJOHNN's poem and it is great. Thank you, JOHNN. We now have three Amy's Place poems .... they are, in order of submission, as follows. Each of these poems are wonderful and I thank NnB, Kudsman and JOHNN for writing them.
The Pumpkin Seed
It seems like such a tiny place, how could we all fit in?
Who knows? Lets all just climb aboard, and take it for a spin.
This isnt just a cottage. Its a magic place indeed.
Who would have thought that pumpkin could have been inside a seed?
When you enter Amys Place, its bigger in than out,
So step inside but dont forget to give your friends a shout.
The more we have attending here, the bigger it will get,
So just keep right on piling in, you aint seen nothin yet!

HOME
I took a jaunt
and viewed some sites.
One previous haunt
some new delights.
Time flew by
most was fun.
Lessons learned
risks run and won.
Now back home
in this comfy place,
I fondly callL
Ms. Amy's place.

Friends in heart with common cause here
poetry and humor, laughter and shared tear
like a family gathered around the fireside
we share what we have, letting pains abide
Warmth and words capturing ideas and dreams
blended in company with us each it seems
Like a red red rose in the snow so white
this place stands out, its freedom does shout
Red on Fridays, or those Caturdays as well
dogs welcome though the cats glance is fell
Dust bunny graphics that give smiling delights
words and crafted images combine in fun sights
A family of minds blended in friendship fair
let us preserve it with thoughtful honest care
Here the place where distant friends reach out
and touch in gentle humor, strife we do rout
Recipes shared oh so easy right here
simply expanding my belt line I fear
and those fried treats displayed galore
and Chocolate wonders and ever much more

Mom always said *you" had a much gentler way-
of explaining things. She was right.
Gosh, I'm happy you're home, Sis!
Now we can talk about your vacation.
And then go out and make some pies.
Love you, sweet ((((((((Sis))))))))

Amy, I LOVED your post
#1248 with the 'history' of the opening graphic designed by ST.LOUIE1, and the 'official' Amy's Place living room graphic that Lori ( mostly) and I worked on! Thank you for such a lovely post with the poems written especially for Amy's Place by our own poets!
You asked for "A little background music, please.:)" - may I suggest one of these.....

Welcome home, Amy! Hope you had a really nice vacation. I know you are probably exhausted, so I’ll wait patiently for photos. ;-)
We arrived home from San Diego late last night. It’s one of my favorite places to visit and having family there makes it doubly nice. Unfortunately we couldn’t stay as long as we wanted. We were camped in a beautiful resort with our RV backed up to a pretty pond with enough wildlife to provide us with endless lazy entertainment. I wish we could have stayed for a week, but darn it, we had to get back home and keep the doors to the business open.
I am so happy that you like what Billie and I have done with the Amy’s Place graphic. And, of course, anyone who knows what wolfie means to the three of us must also know that he is an integral part of Amy’s Place and always will be. I think it goes without saying, we would never allow him (or PapaBear) to be cropped out of Amy’s Place.

Great Post Amy, glad you’re back. I’m doing good to just read the comments, must be getting lazy at the computer. Have an idea for a Post in September, need to get to work on it.....
