Is a wonderful device that Miss Flossie thinks is the greatest ever made
With four narrow arms that lift up and hold strands of taut narrow line
Whose purpose, according to Miss Flossie is unique, yet ill defined

For Miss Flossie's Pretty One puts many damp things on the plump elastic threads
Emptying a Laundry Basket quickly since the device is not above her head
Which is a siren's call for Miss Flossie to cleverly make her move

Anxious to indulge in certain pleasures that her Pretty One may not approve
As the damp things billow in the breeze and the device begins to whirl
Offering an easy upward leap for such a charming and adventurous girl

Miss Flossie inches out and balances as her perch circles in the breeze
Spreading her weight out magically with signature grace and ease
Miss Flossie watches the world go by as the damp things ripple and swell
Pleasantly smug and arrogant as she rides her very own delightful Carousel!
