Thank you, Meg.
This graphic is lovely. Thank you.
Your pickup of flowers last weekend was sooo cute.
You did such a great job hostessing..I must check out The Bear!
;o)
That pickup was a lucky find...
;o)
Happy Monday to you. I once had that memorized, it’s a old favorite.
We did not make it to the glass overhang. I definitely would not go out on it. I have a real fear of heights.
I doublt that Jr would have gone either and no way would he have taken Marissa. I think we all have a fear of heights.
In September the crowds should be a lot smaller. We talked to a ranger; he said from May until the end of August they are really busy and again during the Christmas holidays.
When we were there, the lines for the trolleys were huge. When we were there 25 years ago, there were no lines ... and no trolleys. 25 years ago, we parked close and walked and then moved the car and walked again. They are removing trees for more parking. I thought the economy was bad ..... Jr said ... Look at the nationalities, the economy is bad. There were lots of Orientals and Europeans.
Thank you Meg. I hope you enjoy “The Bear”. There are clips of it on YouTube - this one is the first six minutes of the movie:

(Oh - I forgot to tell you - get the kleenex first.)
I know what you mean about the Kleenex....didn’t get mine first....I must see that, its killing me! Thanks~~
A little background music, please. :)
A few years ago, my Bro (St.Louie1) designed and created the Opening for Amy's Place. This took time and was created with love. Thank you again, Bro, I still love the Opening.
Over a year ago, working together, MamaBear and Billie created our Welcome to our Home Graphic.
In this graphic you will see JKPhoto (PapaBear), an unnamed kitten, me, Bad Penny, Billie Blue, MamaBear and our resident wolf (St.Louie1).
This is a very special graphic not only because it was created with love and the message is perfect but it also depicts what we feel this thread is about.
I read WayzataJOHNN's poem and it is great. Thank you, JOHNN. We now have three Amy's Place poems .... they are, in order of submission, as follows. Each of these poems are wonderful and I thank NnB, Kudsman and JOHNN for writing them.
I will send you more clips, if you want. They aren’t all sad like the opening of the movie.
I just found it to be the most incredible photography!
Marissa was crying last night.
I reminded her that it was a movie and the animals were not really injured or killed. She didn’t want to turn it off last night but school starts next week; she has to start getting to bed earlier.
PS: I also get to go to bed when she goes to sleep. :)
Oh, Amy, I’m so sorry it made Marissa cry - but that is the only really sad part of the movie - I hope she enjoys the rest, tonight.
Did you like it?
Unloaded suitcases, etc. to get to the jack and lower the spare from under the car (evil SUV). I no sooner got the car jacked up and a guy from the Washington State Highways Dept. stopped and finished changing the tire for us and got us on our way to a tire store.
I'm sitting and laying around waiting for a call from a neurosurgeon up in Sacramento for an appt to schedule another back surgery. I blew out another disk in April and the symptoms are getting worse as time progresses. I seem to be the life of the party when my leg collapses and I find myself on the floor. The dogs like it when I get down to their level. :)
Glad I had the Kleenex nearby.
Marissa couldn’t wait until tonight; she asked if we could watch it now.
Of course, I said yes. It was a great movie. She loved it and it was so sweet. She loved that baby bear.
Thank you for loaning it to her (us).
Except for the tire incident, our trip was perfect!! I’m so happy that we didn’t stop in the dessert with a flat. It is great that the guy from the Washington State Highway Dept helped you.
Good luck with the back surgery. Let us know when you are scheduled. Take care of that back; don’t do more damage to it while you wait.

I would appreciate that very much, yorkie! I have got to see this movie!!
I can understand her crying (at her age) I cried at my age. Its hard to explain to little children. Bless her little heart, Amy! I’m glad she has you!
Gosh, I'm happy you're home, Sis!
Now we can talk about your vacation.
And then go out and make some pies.
Love you, sweet ((((((((Sis))))))))
Hi, Diver! I spied your moniker, figured I'd shout a quick hello and ask how you're doing.
Never mind, I just read your post. Dang, I sure wish something could be done to help your back permanently.
I seem to be the life of the party when my leg collapses and I find myself on the floor. The dogs like it when I get down to their level. :)
LOL! Love your sense of humor!
