I was all set to can tomatoes last weekend - I could see zillions of giant red ones in their raised bed from my back steps. Canner is ready, jars are ready, funnel, lifter, EVERYTHING - I mean I was ready to rock. I went out to pick them, and every damned one had a hole the size of a golfball in it. Eight cats, and I’ve got something eating holes in my tomatoes.

Birds were a big problem for me last year. Sounds like birds might be your problem. I am sure they are drawn to the red color!
