If by “tighter standards” you mean US standards that would exclude immigrants from ANY country who had a history of violent crime, or who were without skills or education (illiterate), then I would agree (barring special circumstances). I would support them.
However, you know that I am not talking about the humanity or inhumanity of immigration laws. Far from it. Stop twisting my words.
I’m discussing how pretty squalid rhetoric has been used in this thread to defame whole peoples, who, as far as I can see, have only committed the “offense” of being foreign. That’s what I have been consistently been calling shameless and indefensible.
