Happy Birthday To Me! Cyber Bar is OPEN!
Today In History (FactMonster.com) ^ | July 24, 2009 | Diana in Wisconsin

Belly up to the cyber bar, Freeper Friends. It's my 49th birthday and I'm throwing a bash for myself and GOP_Lady, who turned the Big-Five-OH! yesterday.

The Cyber Bar is open, so place your drink orders and please bring a dish to pass and a joke to share. :)

(We are experiencing BIG thunderstorms in the area, so if I disappear, that's why; don't take it personally!)

The reason given is that it has outlived itself.........

The only time I have ever been to BG Williamsburg was in 1984, the year that particular coaster debuted (big bad wolf).

We used to go to BG Tampa nearly every year back in the 70s.

I graduated from high school in 1977. So, in 1972, I was in 7th/8th grade. It's funny how times passes so quickly.

I can’t do gin. I sell nursery stock for a living and even brushing up against a juniper bush brings back vivid, barf-filled memories of my mis-spent youth.

YOUCH --- remind me not to invite you for dinner when I'm cooking venison :)

I don't do gin either --- reminds me too much of the ex

Don't believe him, Lady --- he was still in diapers in 1977.

LOL.

The theme song of my high school prom was “Dream On” by Aerosmith, and they're still going. Cool.

To be honest, I have no recollection of the prom theme song, if we even had one........

But remembering my class of ‘78, it was probably Billy Joel’s “Only the Good Die Young.” LOL! I still remember all the words to that song -— we used to sing it in the halls and drove the nuns BATTY!

I pass up the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum when I go to work. I can see it through my office window. They're presently featuring Bruce Springsteen, and there are signs all over the city promoting it. I saw Springsteen when he was at the BHO rally two nights before the election. I also saw Springsteen with John Kerry at a rally a couple of days before the 2004 election. YUCK! I happened to be leaving my office building when they were there.

Nah, I was taking my first flying lesson, mowing lawns, working at the Exxon, and got my first french kiss.

Or maybe not.

So, you’re basically on your own if you want gin, LOL!

The secret is to mix it light with OJ. You only taste the OJ. Although right now, I have mixed it with apple juice, and it tastes like cider. Cider filtered through a juniper bush, lol.
