I hear more people talking about preparation than I have in my life. The Mormon fellow I worked next to was getting his food cache ready. So is my daughter.
>>>I hear more people talking about preparation than I have in my life.<<<
Boy, you sure got that right!
The subject came up at the beginning of one of our talk shows here locally, and hours later, despite the repeated attempts by the host to change the subject, everyone kept their lines full with questions and comments on gardening, preserving and other preparedness topics.
I wonder how much of the sales today are people preparing - I know that we spend much less on consumables and more and more on prep items, like the commercial dehydrator and meat slicer I just bought, and the storage supplies, and less and less of the things that we used to buy.
Even without my pushing, daughter and SIL decided that for the first time, they are planting a garden - canning and dehydrating too. Don’t know if it means anything, but he says EVERYONE he works with is preparing (Nat’l. Guard - State EOC) Hmmmmm
While even now I have almost a year’s worth on hand, I am kicking it up a notch and starting dehydrating lots more to add to the normal canning and freezing I normally do.
