Thanks for the compliment. Funny you should ask that...

When I found out I had cancer, I read everything I could get my hands on about nutrition. Cancer cells are in a survival mode and revert to a very primitive form of energy production - fermentation - to live. They require sugar, and lots of it, to survive, and to resist cell death. They are very “selfish” in terms of their mission, which seems to be to grow, live indefinitely, and replicate as fast as possible.

I realized what was happening and stopped all sucrose immediately. I now eat a good deal of raw fruits and vegetables (organic if possible), raw nuts, whole grains, and lightly cooked soups. I don’t eat anything white or fried. I take odd supplements like sodium bicarbonate, curcumin, apricot pits, and kombucha tea. I can post my cancer protocol here if you like.

One thing really shocked me. To visualize where cancer cells are located, doctors inject a shot of radioactive sugar and watch where it concentrates with an x-ray machine. They can tell from that where the cancer is.

Yet most oncologists say nutrition can’t help after cancer gets started...

Yes, I'd be interest in seeing the protocol; really I'm quite ignorant about the topic, and only recently learned that cancer cells and sugar seem to be "made for" eachother.

I do longer fear the 'dreaded' white foods, because white rice, white flour, white cornmeal, processed oatmeal, and potatoes -- all these "DEMON F@@DS" that were scorned in the 1960s when I first became interested in nutrition -- I've recently learned that all of them are extremely low in fructose, and of course, all these starchy mainstays used to support huge SKINNY populations of humans all over the globe. Historically, people have eaten STARCH as a major part of the diet.

Just a couple months ago there was an article that women who eat the most amount of potatoes have the least amount of cancer -- the more potatoes eaten, the less the incidence of cancer.

Potatoes???

Way back in the 1940s and 1950s skinny children ate platefuls of potatoes and of white rice and plenty of white bread, there was even Koolaid made with sugar -- but with the exception of maybe 2-3% of all the kids in the neighborhood, everyone, although healthy, was downright SKINNY - some would be considered to look like they were anorexic nowadays, but that's incorrect, they shoveled in all those "nasty" "dangerous" "unnutritious" white foods.

LOL!!!

Sorry!
/soapbox.

p.s., can you imagine how I feel, with even so very little that I know, that many people advise cancer patients to go on FRUIT JUICE fasts?

eeeeK!!

Maybe over a hundred years ago, when fruit was a tiny part of the diet, when sugar was a real treat -- perhaps subjecting the few humans who got cancer to the shock of a fruit juice fast got their immune systems to go into overdrive and destroy all the cancer???

Don't miss this fascinating news article about BAKING SODA and kidney health -- when you eat baking soda, the kidneys don't produce amonia, negating the drastic need for dialysis. It's just fascinating!

Newsmax.com - Baking Soda for Kidney Health?

Jul 20, 2009 ... Patients taking sodium bicarbonate were also less likely to develop end-stage renal disease (ESRD) requiring dialysis. ...

Thank you so much for sharing this vivid description of the sugar junkie cancer cells.

It seems so strange to me that oncologists don't suggest to immediately HALT A.L.L. forms of sugars; it simply doesn't make any sense. I know sometime in the last decade I read somewhere online about a cancer patient who wouldn't drink ANY fruit or ANY vegetable juice, but because I didn't understand anything about fructose being a DANGEROUS sugar, I didn't understand the point.

Soon I am going to try following the type of diet prescribed to people born with Hereditary Fructose Intolerance and see if it has a positive impact upon my health and weight.

The way you described those cancer cells is so VIVID, like a cartoon monster come to life, and maniacally chomping on any sugar molecules it can locate.

Horrors!! Nightmares, LOL!!!
