We owe no courtesies and compassion for his wicked deeds. He deserves every opprobrium that can possibly be heaped upon him.
But we do owe him one thing: the prayer and wish that he would repent before it’s too late. It is wrong to wish hell on anyone, no matter how wicked.
But we need not play nice. His wickedness is mountainous. He led the way for Catholic Democrats to betray the unborn. He murdered through culpable negligence a young woman to save his political hide.
But no one can rightly wish hell on anyone. To do so is itself wicked. I have nothing but contempt for what he has done. But I am obligated to pray that he might repent before he dies.
Those who don’t believe in heaven or hell are off the hook. But those who do, can’t morally wish hell on anyone.
I’m going to fetch my flame suit now.
There is one redeeeming thing about Ted. He helped undermine Carter during his re-election bid, and helped to bring in Reagan.
You are a kind and generous person. For me, I wouldn’t say that it is so much a wish as it is an expectation...
Lord Jesus, you died for all of Ted K’s sin, it is all paid for. He does not deserve salvation and neither did I. If it is your will, save his soul before it is eternally too late; thy will be done, in Jesus name, amen.
You're right, but I'm choking on it.
