Can somebody run down the birth certificate issue for me?

Last year i kind of just looked at this situation like conspiracy theory but there seems to be some new evidence but i'm a little lost when it comes to the new intricacies of the situation

can i get the evidence for and against the birth certificate issue so i can make my own assessment on this, I know rush hasn't touched it that much but Hannity brought up the Major Cook issue

I really want to believe this and i trust most freepers but i need to evaluate the facts

I too saw the Lou Dobbs show and was angry at the way Lou Dobbs’ lacky dismissed the issue and essentially dissed Orly Taitz and Alan Keyes. Taitz tried to speak but apparently someone turned her microphone volume way down. The other two panel members were so far in the tank for Obama they were pathetic. Have you contacted your state legislator yet to do something *substantial* and in “real life” — like getting your state to pass a law requiring specific documentation be presented before a candidate can be on the ballot?

I am not going to help a guy write a thesis and agree with your assertion. If he has been a lurker for so long, how is it that he suddenly interested?

He does have a history of posting but just as other pointed me to the Big Thread and the Obama file, I think we should do the same for him.

This thing has gone on too long and the amount of information is too voluminous to hand someone a Readers Digest.

There are many aspects to the situation (witnesses that he was born in Kenya, travel to Pakistan when almost no Americans could, dropping his US citizenship when he moved to Indonesia, etc).

The one that is of most importance, the issue that Obama has spent millions of dollars in legal fees to fight, is a viewing of his certificate of live birth (AKA “the long form”).

The long form lists the place of birth. A key feature for eligibility for President, as spelled out in the Constitution.

Others have displayed “the short form” (or a likely forgery of it). Prior to 1971 literally anyone could register their birth in Hawaii and get a short form. The short form lacks appropriate information about the place of birth. It basically says: “this person was born...and here is a document from Hawaii that says they were born”

The considerable effort and money that has been expended by Obama and significant eyewitnesses (Obama’s grandmother) to a Kenyan birth give the issue considerable credibility.

But as other Freepers have noted, you'll need to research the details on your own.
