James Harly, 76 y/o, Beverly Harley, 73 y/o, both white. These folks were on their way home from Franklin County, Missouri to Apple Valley, CA. They are driving a 1995 Holiday Rambler, tan. Don't know length yet, but I'm working on it. Our local sheriff's station is 760-241-2911 or call WeTip @ 800-78-CRIME.
Please, if you belong to any other RV e-group, pass this along.

Seriously, I hope they turn up healthy and safe.
Sarcastically, maybe they are the first recipients of the “Elderly Obamacare” proposed by Absolute Zer0.

Does James have a gun with him? These folks are becoming a real target of opportunity for hijackers...clean out the wallets, credit cards, tv, stereos...they look at it like a moveable feast...

Thanks for posting. These folks are local to me. I'm very frustrated at the information the sheriffs department doesn't have that would be critical to other MHers.

Can’t believe the insensitive comments showing up on this thread.
To: GSWarrior
I thought the same. Here’s a family that’s frantic because these people are missing and there are callous jokes being posted. How compassionate of them.

Were they expected somewhere as of a certain date? If so, what date, how long have they been missing?
When was their last contact with anyone? Who was it? Where were they located at the time? Have they ever deviated from a plan in the past? Do they always check in with someone? Did they share their route with anyone?
Answers to these questions would be helpful.

The Winnebago group I belong to has 2600+ members, and the general RV group 3000+. A lot of them are on the road. It is the best I can do.
I live at their destination town, so going out looking around isn’t going to help much. They could have gone to dump at the local KOA or Mojave Narrows, and decided to stick around. I guess I could ask if they’ve checked there.

Do they have cell phones or GPS on their motor home? If they do, it might be possible to track them.

Did they leave a route they were planning on taking with anyone? Approximate length of time they were planning on taking? Etc.
Hope they are found safe.

See, this is the exact information I need, and the sheriff’s department has no information to give me.
I need to do SOMETHING. So I’m going to go out and check the local RV dumps. I’ll be back in about an hour.

Just to let you know, I am their grandson and they are also towing a long white box trailer as well.
To: Raptor660
Thanks. I just spoke to Karen Hunt @ VV Sheriffs. She wasn't sure what kind of trailer it was. What is the length of the motor home? Any distinguishing marks? I am contacting all my RV groups to get them involved. Did they go down the 35 to the 40 to Barstow?

Just to let you know I went to the former KOA on Stoddard Wells, now Oasis something, and the Mojave Narrows to give them a heads up. Before they bring the motor home back they would likely stop and dump the tanks. I’m not sure I got through to the people at the former KOA. They hadn’t had their coffee yet.
