You lived in a lake? Lucky you, we lived in a tree. You couldn’t sleep because if you did you fell out. all we had to eat was dirt and a little grass occasionally (not that kind of grass). Life was hard and then you died.

Well, *WE* had it tough. We used to live in a cardboard shoebox in the middle of the road! We used to 'ave to get up out of shoebox at twelve o'clock at night and lick the road clean with our tongues. We had two bits of cold gravel, worked twenty-four hours a day at mill for sixpence every four years, and when we got home our Dad would slice us in two wit' bread knife.
