First of all, allow me to say that I got ten of ten questions right.

and

"Ronald Marx, the dean of the University of Arizona's College of Education, said he wasn't pleased to hear the findings but said he was more concerned than alarmed,"

Those two sentences reflect the reason for the sorry state of American education these days.

Yes about the sorry state of education. "More concerned than alarmed"? (????) He's not alarmed because the children who took that test will be good little malleable marxists and vote for dimmehcrats for life.
