Just want someone to come in the WH and follow the rule of law. End the Fed and eliminate the personal income tax. Someone to do away with “natural born citizenship” based on crossing over the fence and having a baby here (anchor baby). Protect our borders as they should be protected.

If we are at war with a country or have them on a watch list, then we should not allow their citizens to enter our country. Do away with the UN and eliminate all trade polices that always seem to be one sided. Sending China 4 billion a year to encourage them to purchase our goods is not really a fair practice or open trade.

Just a few items I would like changed and I think at this time someone like RP would do that. Now, getting congress to follow through could be tough. Maybe a few EO would help.

Right now we really have 0 leaders in the GOP. Once we had many. Palin, DeMint, Bachmann seem to be in the news and standing up, or at least attempting to for the Constitution.

I read some articles RP has written. Worth a peruse through.

2012, probably too old to run, but as Sec of Tres., I do think he would be spot on.

Lets just hope we have a strong 2010 return to congress and win the WH in 2012 with someone with some intestinal fortitude to bring this great nation back.

Good luck. Call your congressman if he has not signed on to H.R. 1207 to audit the Fed and hopefully eliminate it in the near future.

Nope! Nyet! Nada! I will not support Ron Paul, even, if he runs for the “City Limits”

I live in Pennsylvania, if he was running against Arlen Specter, I'd support him.

As President, he would not kneel before the new god of the GOP, perpetual U.S. involvement in Middle East wars.

I support Ron Paul even though he is not perfect.

When I think of RP I think back to Jr. High. We had this teacher in 8th grade who was really wise, but older and not too hip - the kids walked all over him. The class after mine actually drove him to quit. The kids liked the cool young teachers even if they weren’t that great at teaching - or had real wisdom of any kind. That teacher who quit ended up working with students at the college level as a tutor at learning center. Those students respected him and wanted to learn.

In short - most of the people in this country want the young hip guy in office even if he sucks. They behave and think like a bunch of Jr. High kids.

I’ve pretty much lost all hope for America.

Congress is fine. The man is obviously intelligent.

As far as the rest, no.

I have to say that there are, in all probably, 0 9-11 conspiracy theorists on FR.

The believers in tower 7 being blasted down pop up from time to time on FR.It's hard to put up a link because the threads surrounding the topic are pulled>. No I am not one of them and do not support Ron Paul.

Then I heard that he was for gay marriage or something, that he was lax on some conservative issues. I haven’t followed him after his presidential bid because I didn’t really know about him. Since you are a supporter of him, please ease my worries on his ideals on domestic issues.

His positions on domestic policy often get mischaracterized. He's been accused of being "for" things like gay marriage, abortion, marijuana and other "social conservative" issues. He doesn't find enumerated in the Constitution and authorized by the States the power for Congress to control them, so he votes against federal legislation to do so.

I don't hold Paul's interpretation of the constitution against him as many do because, believe it or not, he has it right.

I think you could count on one hand the number of US Congressmen who would say they agree with Clarence Thomas when it comes to the limits of Congressional power under the Commerce Clause, and he's probaly the only one who'll actully vote that conviction with any consistency.

Much too prestigious for him. I think Andorra or San Marino would be a better choice!

President - No. Mental illness is a disqualifier.

Congressman - No. I’ll leave him to the Texians.

Governor - No. Him as a governor would be like driving a car toward the Grand Canyon with no breaks.

In all three cases, and as a matter in general, he is a big detriment to the conservative movement.

Ron Paul;

Wasn’t he that mental dude who convinced his followers to commit suicide and hitch a ride on a Comet?

He sure sounds like it. Just when he starts sounding sensible and Conservative, he goes so far to the Right, he comes back out on the Left. And the really scary thing about him is, he can’t tell the difference himself.

>> Jimmy Carter isn’t a nuclear engineer <<

You’re correct. Not nuclear. But I’d say he’s a “submarine engineer” in the same sense that a train driver is also called an “engineer.”
