This undated photo released by the Tigard Police Department shows Miriam Sakewitz, who was arrested in 2007 with more than 250 rabbits in squalid conditions. In a plea deal, she was forbidden to have animals for five years. On Tuesday, authorities say she was found holed up in a hotel room in Tigard, Ore., with more than a dozen rabbits and was arrested. She is the classic profile of an animal hoarder. Female, around 50, single, no kids, living alone/under the radar.

Animal hoarders do this with all kinds of animals - dogs, cats, rabbits, etc.

They believe they are doing good for the animals, despite the place being filthy, dead animals all over (there was one dead one here), never getting medical care for the animals, so they get sicker and die, none are fixed so they keep multiplying and things get worse.

And if people like this do not get severe psychiatric help and stay on it, there is a 100% rate that they will do it again. They ALL go back to doing it again. They move, change names, and start up again. Leaving problems behind them wherever they go.

“They call her ‘Crazy Cat Lady’, but can anyone who loves animals truly be called crazy?”

Lisa Simpson, shortly before running off as screeching cats are thrown at her.

Ok. I confess. I thought the headline read:

Oregon woman obsessed with rabbis arrested again

I'm thinking, "Wow. Weird fetish."

Didn’t that British woman (the one on “Britain’s Got Talent”) live with a bunch of cats?

Maybe this woman can sing?

I know some folks from Tigard.

Strange place.

Cheers!

She also was told not to go within 100 yards of a rabbit.

Not making fun of someone with a disorder but that line struck me as funny.
