I’ve been posting one amendment a week for a while. :’) Started with the 10th, worked down to the 1st, and somewhere in that interval realized I should have started with the 1st and worked upward, but there’s a 10th amendment ping group, and that’s what got me started. :’)
A little amendment trivia I found while trying to figure out if today was some big anniversary of the 18th. The quickest amendment to be ratified was the 26th which took only 100 days from when Congress passed it until enough states ratified it. The 27th took the longest at 74,003 days.
Here is some 2nd Amendment (pro-gun) news, FYI: There is no NEED for the Supremes to consider 2nd Amendment “Incorporation”! FACT: The 2nd Amendment is SELF-incorporated to all government entities at every level. It is MORE ABSOLUTE than the 1st Amendment, or any of the others, because the wording forbids not only CONGRESS, but ANYONE from infringing on it. The 1st says “Congress shall make no law...”. The 2nd say “shall NOT be infringed!” Period! End of debate!
