The investigation into downed Air France flight 447 was thrown into chaos today when red-faced investigators admitted that debris found floating in the ocean was not from the doomed jet. Military investigators had said that they had 'without a doubt' found vital parts of the Airbus A330 in deep ocean 600 miles off the coast of Brazil. Among the debris was a wooden pallet that they believed had been used to load luggage on to the plane, which disappeared over the Atlantic early Monday morning with 228 people on board.But today investigators said the wooden pallet and two buoys recovered was not from Flight 447, but just floating waste believed to be from a ship.

More fuel for the conspiracy theorists, I guess...
The Atlantic Ocean is an incredibly hostile place. If the plane broke up in flight doing 400 mph at altitude there wouldn't be many large pieces left, of anything.

AF 447 ping.
Oceans are vast. The debris likely fell over a wide area. Most of the stuff in an airliner is denser than water and, therefore, will sink. The water there is deep. Very deep. Searchers would have to know the precise location of the aircraft when it broke-up in order to have a chance to locate debris in a timely manner.
things are getting more interesting
Or, they don’t want this plane to be found?
“Oceans are vast.”
Not to mention that the depths are as great as 30,000 ft?
and there are mountain peeks from the floor that go up 20,000ft?
It is all mind boggling.
The fate of the AF flight may remain an unsolved mystery.
Since this past August, I have been on one r/t flight with Qatar Airways from Vienna to Philippines on A320 and A330,
and a one way back to Philippines in Jan. on an A330.
Happy that I won’t be doing that again.
“Or, they dont want this plane to be found?”
They will find the plane. They will find the black box. They will find out what happened.
Everyone wants answers now and this takes time. People are speculating because the press wants a story.
They are going to find this thing empty sitting out in the middle of nowhere New Mexico in a sand storm 50 years from now.
that or it’s on some island with a guy named Jacob and a smoke monster
SOSUS should be able to triangulate the black box pings ...
Just another fragile ecosystem mystery;
lost within the ozone hole of history;
while oceans boil and species spoil;
we dash about and thrash and shout;
the air grows thick the seas go slick;
and all above becomes below;
and so it goes;
and so it goes.
No, they won't. The box is under 4 miles of water. That's 4 MILES of water. The battery on its locator beacon is already failing. Even if the battery were good for a month, which it's not, that much water completely blocks the signal.
As for the plane? It's scattered across at least 30 square miles of the Atlantic Ocean with nary a piece larger than a pie plate, and that includes the passengers.
So, what do you believe happened to it?
In other news the “human debris” found at the White House has been identified as and illegal alien!
More fuel for the conspiracy theorists, I guess...
I hate that word, theorist. In another case, it’s fact but you probably won’t even believe the obvious truth, the brain washing has been very effective.

My opinion, if it was a bomb? Who knows?, If it was weather?, Who knows?, If it was mechanical failure?, Who knows?? It was over a vast area of the Atlantic ocean, and no amount of speculation will ever solve it, unless, pieces are found, which is unlikely, and if they are, by now, they have drifted hundreds of miles from the site!! This one is lost and only speculation will ever be the answer!!
the whole thing is odd, odd, odd.
But I do have enough information to be certain that the black box will never be recovered. I doubt seriously that any of the victims will be, either.
