And we thought Brangelina vs.Jennifer was shocking. Archie Andrews, the beloved, freckled protagonist of the Archie comic books has been roiled in a romantic love triangle for the past 67 years between blonde, pretty, girl-next-door Betty Cooper, and rich, spoiled, brunette beauty, Veronica Lodge. It always seemed, to me at least, that Archie's heart and future lay with Betty, and that Veronica was just a fantasy, an infatuation. But lo and behold, in issue #600 of the Archie comic, arriving in comic book stores in July, Archie proposes to Veronica in a jewelry store, while a tearful Betty and dazed Jughead look on. Which prompts this epic question:
What the hell is Archie thinking? Seriously, he can't possibly afford Veronica's lifestyle on that temp-worker income of his, and she's going to make his life miserable. He'll always be falling short of her expectations. Betty, meanwhile, loved Archie just as he is. The lad is making a foolish, foolish error, and he's clearly thinking with the wrong part of his anatomy. But what do you think, Popwatchers? Did Archie totally blow it, or is Veronica such a babe that she's worth the drama?
Always wanted to double down on Betty and Veronica.

Well this is an odd one. I have always been a Ginger over Maryann, but on this one I prefered Betty over the more glamorous Veronica. I guess if Ginger had acted like an entitled snot on the island I would have prefered Maryanne, but she seemed to work as hard as everyone else.
In India, this is big news.
The gorgeous Asin (who most of Bollywood is threatened by after she walked away with Best Debutant trophy at the Filmfare Awards) had hurt her hand, and hence, the training in the traditional form of martial art had to be deferred. Asin says, “My hand is fine now. I’m in Chennai for a couple of days for some commercial, then I will fly to Cochin and later to Trivandrum for the kalari training.” Asano has also arrived in India. He took the train from Cochin to Chennai to meet Kamal Haasan the other leading man in the film. He will join Asin for their on-screen combat. While on the topic of Asin, the girl is still loyal to her childhood memories (her family albums, toys, dresses and gifts). Her greatest love was and still are her favourite Archie comic books. “I have been stuck on them since I was nine years old,” she reveals. The Ghajini star says she has the biggest collection of them and still keeps adding to it. She can’t go anywhere in the world unless Archie accompanies her
Presumably, that comic was written a long time ago before certain vulgar phrases entered the lexicon...

Betty was the sweet one that loved and didn’t always try to impress.
Maybe Jughead will get lucky with Betty now.
