I'm in IT. I really, really don't care what "personal computers" that I use....I'm currently running a 5-year-old Dell laptop with a 20GB Hard drive. It probably needs a new battery, and likely, my cell phone has more processing power. But, it does what I want it to do, is configured exactly the way I like it, it still powers up reliably, and is small enough to travel with. Meanwhile, while the gadgetheads in the company want ("need" and usually get) the latest and greatest toys every year...I figure that I'm saving my business a bundle. I enjoy spending my quarterly bonuses. :-)
To me, all the computer does is serve as an interface to get the servers, SAN, and network...where the real work I do happens.
Now..., the real funny thing about this, is that it’s the PC-users on a thread that is about Mac users telling “them” about the Mac users’ “religious fervor” ...
Quite humorous when you see that... LOL
[and quite “telling” at the same time...]
I can't hear you as I'm listening to my iPod (which I unfortunately can't program or even use to transfer loaded songs from one iTunes equipped computer to another (both "activated").
And, by the way, talking about processing power in a phone — I’ve probably got a fair amount of processing power in this phone, too, since it’s an iPhone and it’s running a variant of the OS X (that Mac has).
I’ve been posting on it since I don’t want to get up off the couch and go over to the Mac... LOL...
“It convinced me that I will never buy an Apple product, as the ads are dishonest.
I love them. I find them EASY to relate to after 16 years of windows, a windows network and a recent Mac laptop. I’ll never get back all the time of my life I spent fixing my vast hoard of windows computers...
They may be great products; the ads, however, are very bothersome.
