NJ Freepers we need to support Steve Lonegan over R.I.N.O Chris Christie

I am not associated at all with Lonegan's campaign but I am a nj resident and would like to spark a conversation from other freepers aware of the current battle that is a microcosm of the battle between republicans and conservatives. Christie is the establishment republican while Lonegan so far has shown himself to be a true conservative who wants to institute a flat tax of 2.9% in new jersey and wants to cut our horrible spending here in new jersey.

Would love all your input and if there are pro christie guys i'd love to hear from you guys too...there might be information i don't know about lonegan that could change my mind

I used to live in Batavia and proudly voted for Lauzen for many years. The Milk Dud is bad news. The Sour Milk Man’s suddenly shift on illegals in 2004, was due to advice from a George Ryan adviser.

The Ryan adviser told the Milk Dud that he could distinguish himself from the other candidates by claiming to be tough on illegals. Unfortunately it opened up Oberweis Diaries to investigative reports by the Sun Times which showed the businesses hiring illegals. Ops! Another flip-flop by the Milk Dud.

***I won’t insult Oberweis by calling him the Illinois Romney***

That is an insult to Mitt Romney is much more intelligent than Loserweis. Plus Romney has succeeded in the private sector. Loserweis fares poorly in all of his endevours from his politics to business. His ice cream stinks.

At first I was for Christie (as were my family, friends, co-workers etc...), UNTIL I did my research on Steve Lonegan. Now ALL of the aboved mentioned are voting for Lonegan as well:

I won’t go through his great tax plan that will make everyone pay their fair share, or the fact that seniors will NOT be taxed on Social Security or most of their pensions. (I am not a senior but my folks are). I WILL tell you why I changed my vote to LONEGAN:

Lonegan fought CORZINE on the toll hikes and stopped him from raising them to unrecoverable heights, Christie did nothing to aid in this.

Christie MOCKED Lonegan for being legally blind. What kind of man does that??? Will he mock my parents for being old? Mock the seniors who are blind and disabled as well?

Look at how far this man has come when he could have simply collected welfare because he has a disability. That shows me he is a true winner. It is also why some people think he is not personable like Christie. He is actually very likeable. I have heard both speak on several occassions and got to speak to them personally. Lonegan is very relaxed when he is not talking shop. But on State business, all we need is to get the job done, Lonegan can do that! I would never support a candidate because he appears “likeable” but has no plan (like Christie).

Lonegan says what he means, like it or not. Christie changed his “politics” to tell people what they wanted and needed to hear. So he just says what will make you vote for him. I have had enough of that in my 35 years of life, I don’t need another “talker” I want a “doer” running my state.

Lonegan CAN beat Corzine. NJ will die for good if there is another Dem in office for another 4 years.

COAH scares me: Criminals let out of prison will be given housing in COAH. I don’t want my children living next door to criminals. Christie doesn’t care, his million dollar home isn’t anywhere near a new COAH unit that my tax dollars paid for. Lonegan will get rid of it!

There are so many reasons that I like Lonegan and am a reformed Christie supporter.

I hope some Chrisite supporters really do some research before Tuesday, and some Merkt supporters as well. I like Merkt but the time isn’t right...maybe in 4 years? His policies are almost EXACT to Lonegans anyway so maybe reconsider throwing your vote to Lonegan instead of Merkt and absolutely instead of Chrisite.

That has the facts completely reversed. The early campaign was completely on topic by Lonegan and completely dismissive by Christie, who acted as though anointed by the bosses.

Since the bosses in NJ appear to have the same goals regardless of party, I’d be against anyone openly claimed by them regardless of party.

When Christie realized he really had a fight on his hands, he came out slinging and has not stopped to wipe his hands since then. Only recently has he become something, and that something is a weak “me-too” candidate.

I don’t know what campaign you’ve been watching, but it’s not the one in NJ.

Even now, you can’t tell me what Christie’s plans are on tax cuts, spending cuts, encouraging business, stemming the exodus of high-earners, dealing with COAH, Abbott, NJ Supreme Court, illegal aliens, gun ownership. If you can say anything about Christie that can be documented, it will be generalities and unsupported rhetoric.

We are all grown up now, and no longer desire our elected officials to pat us on the head and reassure us that, while they don’t know what they are doing, it will all be for the best. That’s Christie. That’s been the last dozen politicians in both NJ and the national scene, including our Senators. THAT’s OVER!
