You can give me a line of excuses on why the National GOP Committee who dole out dollars for Congressional Candidates did not back my Candidacy for the Illinois 5th Congressional district (Rahm Emmanuel's seat Special Election). I have been a Republican all my life and I have been very involved with elections.
But the most important fact about this discussion is that I am of Mexican Decent.
I am a HISPANIC "hear me roar"
I am hardworking (At least that is what they say about illegal aliens) and I am a Christian. (Which they argue how good that is for the country as least when they tag it on to illegal aliens)
The GOP usually has their obligatory WE MUST REACH OUT TO BLACKS AND HISPANICS rhetoric which I hear OVER AND OVER AND OVER. When I attend meetings in Illinois all I ever see is White guys endorsing white guys in ties and suits that look like they are getting ready to make their First Holy Communion. Cookie cutter white guys, the beat goes on.
The Republican Party has no intention of reaching out to Hispanics. The only Hispanics they want are illegal aliens who provide cheap labor for the Corporations. Then the Corporations can make big campaign contributions to the little white guys in suits and ties I always see at GOP meetings.
The National Republican Congressional Committee even place ROBO Calls into the Illinois 5th Congresional District asking Republicans if they were voting for me and then tried to raise money on my back, without ever donating one red cent to my Campaign. Great Character they display Right?
Now I see a FABULOUS HISPANIC CONSERVATIVE running for Senate in Floria and the Republican Nation Party is throwing him under the bus.
Javier Manjarres of the Conservative Republican Alliance interviews the former Florida House Speaker whose 2010 Senate campaign has sparked a grassroots uprising against the GOP elite:

The National Republican Party has lost it's way. Maybe they are not rejecting us because we are Hispanic, maybe it is because they have no use for Conservatives.
I was hopeful when I read about what is going on in Florida as we speak:
"A Republican backlash is brewing against the state and national party as they anoint Gov. Charlie Crist's U.S. Senate campaign -- thereby dissing that of his rival, former state House Speaker Marco Rubio."
Now there is also a group who is doing the right thing, namely: Not one penny to the National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC)
“”The Republican Party has no intention of reaching out to Hispanics.””
So is it about Hispanic or conservative? Do we need to consider race to “reach out”? What does “reaching out” entail? What is preventing you specifically from supporting conservatism?
To continue with my thought, look at what the GOP swells have donee to Sarah Palin since the election, sniping at her at every opportunity. She’s not hispanic, but like you she’s conservative and she’s a Christian and the swells see us as the problem, they think we’re the reason they can’t win elections. They don’t realize that we are the heart and soul of the party, and that the “swells”, the so-called moderates who don’t know what they believe, the Repubs suffering from McCain’s Disease, they are the problem.
I am a STAUNCH CONSERVATIVE
You are not the only Hispanic Republican.
My son-in-law is 1/2 hispanic, a Harvard Law Grad, a corporate attorney, a staunch Republican, and is the quickest study I have ever met.
He is possibly not as “conservative” as my daughter, but he destroys the stereotype some people have of hispanics. He is a patriotic American.
The issue is not race, but what is between a person’s ears. What they value, their principles, their morality and the fire in the heart love for this nation that made it great.
Am I happy with the leadership of the Republican Party, NO!
Are “concervatives” in the Republican Party unappreciated? YES.
What do we do about it? Help pursue the 10th Amendment movements, the Tea Party events, and mock and ridicule the propaganda of the MSM. For starters.
And utter defiance in the face of this evil attempt to destroy the U.S.
Why the push?
Background needed.
Then why play the race card?
Pssssst! Your racism is showing!
And to continue my thought, remember what they did to the conservatives running for president this last year.
They couldn’t get the time of day. They were basically ignored by the party. We out here were pushing their names but no one in the party would get behind them. So we wound up with McCain. Guys like Hunter, for example, conservative, Christian, treated like they weren’t there.
You are in good company. Its a tragedy but you are in excellent company. If you are conservative and Christian, even in the GOP, this is what you are up against. Get used to being treated like a leper. If you like a good fight, though, you forget all that and remember you are fighting for something bigger than just the approval of the party elite.
Pssssst!
DO YOUR HOMEWORK!!
Because the government is going to pass amnesty this year and 12 - 15 million illegal immigrants are going to be legalized and given voter cards. They have to step up their outreach or become a footnote. Just because their outreach isn't going well doesn't immediately mean hate.
I am not so upset about my run, but when you see a guy like Rubio and he is a man of excellence, it really starts to chip away at one’s enthusiasim to forge ahead.
When I moved to New Mexico a few years back, the first chance I had to vote for governor involved a choice between a good GOP candidate (Mr. John Sanchez) and a typical D@mocrat candidate (Bill Richardson, indictment pending). Mr. Sanchez was a successful businessman, and a 'real' Hispanic. Richardson was a 'pay-for-play' pimp, who had experienced multiple ethics (& competency) 'problems' while serving in the Clinton administration, and was just as Hispanic as Obama is Anglo.
I was very happy to cast my vote for Mr. Sanchez. Unfortunately, the pimp won.
THE GOP DOES NOT HATE HISPANICS!
Try outreach to LEGAL IMMIGRANTS and up standing law abiding Hispanics, that would be a start if they do not value us, but they value illegals aliens who are destroying our country?
As I say, sadly, tragically, he (and you) are in very good company. They have a habit of ignoring conservatives and Christian conservatives in particular.
If you were pro-abortion you would be celebrated as a new and exciting kind of Republican for a new era. They’d have you on the View and Oprah in short order.
How do you know if someone is racist?
They’re white.
When I see the rejection of a GREAT man like Rubio, I am compelled to ask the question.
It’s all about being in the club. You’re not a member of the club because you’re not a member of the club. The GOP is constanly refighting last election, and supporting the establishment candidate against the grassroots insurgent candidate. They will only support you when you no longer need them to.
LOL!!
I don’t really know but if you are accusing the GOP of hating Hispanics because they didn’t back you and you expect them to back you because you are Hispanic then I am certain you are playing the race card.
And that is dispicable and worthy of comtempt...no, beneath contempt.
