This is Tal Wilkenfeld. You play with Jeff Beck and Vinnie Colaiuta, you've got some chops. She's absolutely brilliant. And 21 years old. THIS is her at Crossroads 2007. Her solo's at 2:15. Just damn. I am utterly in awe. As a guitarist for over 40 years (and Jeff Beck fan from way back), who has only in the last few years really started to master the bass (I favor a 5-string), I feel like a complete neophyte watching her play.
Thank you so much for posting this link -- it made my day, and has changed my outlook substantially.

No...Rock ain't dead... the reports of its demise are wrong.
While it my have gone thru some changes and mods over the years....basic Rock 'n Roll lives on.
With props and apologies for slightly misquoting him, Dave Be(a?)rry did the best definition of what Rock 'n Roll really is back in the '80s in a column he wrote. Something about stumbling into an unknown bar on a hot summer night and hearing a band you never heard of and never will again play music that makes you want to drink too much beer, dance with a woman you don't know, get sweaty, maybe drunk and call for an encore when its 'Last Call - Hotel, Motel just get the hell outta here we're closing' time ...thats Rock 'n Roll.
And that ain't dead. Nope, as long as bar bands, beer and hot summer nights are around. Rock 'n Roll will be there.
